Following are some of the key work areas for your role:You will work as an expert along-side our global engineering teams to help them produce estimates for our software line of products, improve their productivity and efficiencyAct as a coach and mentor to engineering teams to derive estimations for application size, efforts, cost and scheduleOwn the product estimation framework and methodology and lead its adoption and implementation across global teamsImprove and evolve the estimation framework and methodology by applying empirical techniques and learnings from engineering teamsDefine and manage a common application sizing unit for various software streams like web, big data, mobile, cloud, etc. This sizing unit should be able to measure a team s performance over time as well as perform comparative performance measurement across multiple teamsCollect metrics and analyze team performance for productivity, efficiency and quality Own the global metrics platform for the organization, and report out metrics to the global engineering dashboard on a regular basisAct as an SME for the estimation tool and metrics reporting platform and build new features to further enhance the toolPerform post-mortem analysis and retrospectives to identify best practices and improvement areas for all program metrics (efforts, size, schedule, defects, cost, team size, team experience) What we look forA passion for high maturity estimation and measurement frameworks, which will help teams perform better10-15 years of software development experience working with global IT/ITES or product development organizationsAt least 5 years of experience in performing budgetary and planning estimates for large software programs using traditional as well as agile software development methodologies (Product Development Process, CMMI, SCRUM, SAFE)At least 5 years of experience leading global engineering teams across the entire software development life cycleShould have worked on matured empirical estimation techniques like Function Points, Use Case Points, COCOMOExperience working in a global matrix organization in collaboration with engineering managers, program managers, tech architects/leads and engineering directorsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsRequiredEngineering Graduate / Post-Graduate, preferably in Computer Science or Information TechnologyPreferredSAFE/CSM certificationSix Sigma black beltPMP certification,
