Job Description

    • Procurement Strategy Development:Develop and implement effective procurement strategies to ensure that the organizations purchasing activities are cost-effective while maintaining a consistent and reliable supply of goods and services.
    • Supplier Management:Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on criteria such as cost, quality, and reliability. Negotiate favorable terms and conditions with vendors and establish strong, long-term relationships to secure the best possible deals.
    • Market Trend Monitoring:Monitor market trends, analyze competitor strategies, and track the activities of suppliers to identify cost-efficient opportunities for procurement. Stay updated on market dynamics to make informed purchasing decisions.
    • Record Keeping & Documentation:Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, supplier contracts, and other procurement-related documentation. Ensure that all documents are easily accessible and up to date for audit purposes.
    • Procurement Process Oversight:Oversee the entire procurement process, ensuring the timely delivery of goods and services while meeting quality compliance standards. Work closely with vendors to ensure products arrive as scheduled and meet specifications.
    • Collaboration with Internal Departments:Collaborate with various internal departments such as finance, operations, and production to align procurement efforts with business objectives, operational needs, and budget constraints.
    • Spending Analysis & Forecasting:Analyze procurement spending data to identify trends, assess cost-saving opportunities, and forecast future purchasing needs. Use data insights to guide future procurement strategies and optimize costs.
    • Contract Management:Ensure all supplier contracts are compliant with company policies, and manage contract renewals and negotiations to maintain favorable terms for the organization.
    • Procurement Policy Improvement:Continuously review and update procurement policies and practices. Proactively identify areas for improvement to enhance efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and supplier performance.
    • Team Leadership & Support:Lead, mentor, and support a team of purchasing officers, providing guidance and direction in their daily operations. Foster a collaborative environment while ensuring high performance and adherence to company procurement standards.
