The Product Management team at mCarbon is tasked with setting the directions for the new products to be created and existing products to be enhanced for changing market realities. Our focus segments are Telecom Operators and Enterprises who have a need to engage with their retail customers on a continuous basis and are looking for innovative ways to engage with them. Our ideal candidate will have insights and find interesting ways to act on these insights, translate ideas into product designs, and utilize the passion and energy of teams across the company to manifest these product and feature ideas into a tangible offering for our customers. We are looking for a candidate who can help in developing the vision and roadmap, define the principles and practices that allows engineering teams to innovate quickly. Educational Qualification : B. TechMCA andor MBA Role Definition : Responsibilities include collection of business and systems requirements from internal and external customers, writing specifications, driving project schedules from design to release, and managing the production launch. You will lead and coordinate designimplementation efforts between internal teams and outside merchants and vendors to develop optimal solutions. You will be expected to make appropriate tradeoffs to optimize time-to-market, clearly communicate goals, roles, responsibilities, and desired outcomes to internal cross-functional and remote project teams. Key objectives for this role include : 1. Start with the customer and work backwards to define your product vision and customer needs. 2. Assesses market competition by comparing the companys product to competitors products. 3. Provides source data for product line communications by defining product marketing communication objectives. 4. Assesses product market data by calling on customers with field salespeople and evaluating sales call results. 5. Produce product and feature specifications and requirements; appraising new product ideas andor product or packaging changes. 6. Be the end-to-end owner of the product - manage the business case, identify the value proposition, define the customer experience, build out the product requirements, launch plan and see the business through launch and customer adoption 7. Preparing return-on-investment analyses; establishing time schedules with engineering and operations 8. Determines product pricing by utilizing market research data; reviewing development, hosting and sales costs; anticipating volume; costing special and customized orders. 9. Draft strategy and product updates for the senior leadership team Must Have Skills : - B.Tech in Computer Science or an engineering field and an MBA. - 5-8 years product management experience, preferably in delivering customer-facing productsservice - Experience managing product, project, or program teams will be considered a plus - Minimum of 3 years of experience translating customer needs into product features, user interface design, and pricing models - Market and customer analysis skills with demonstrated willingness and capability to learn new areas quickly - Demonstrated ability to define requirements, specifications, and metrics for successful web services andor customer experiences efficiently and with quality. - Minimum of 4 years of software developmentbusiness operationstechnology or product management experience. - High level understanding of Web and Mobile technologies Role: Product Manager Industry Type: IT Services & Consulting Department: Product Management Employment Type: Full Time, Permanent Role Category: Product Management - Technology Education UG: B.Tech/B.E. in Production/Industrial PG: MBA/PGDM in Marketing, MCA in Computers
