Join Varian and add your talent to the fight against cancer.Job DescriptionThe Jr. Product Owner is part of the agile team and acts as the customer proxy. They are primarily responsible for working with the SCRUM team, product management and other stakeholders to define and prioritize user stories in the team backlog. Responsibilities Work closely with product management to create, edit, and maintain the user stories, bugs and enabler tasks in the team backlog. Draft the user story acceptance criteria. Validate and accept the implementation of user stories. Assess value, develop cases, and prioritize stories and epics to ensure work focuses on those with maximum value that are aligned with product strategy. Ensure there are always 2 iterations worth of user stories in the team backlog. Refine the user stories in the program backlog and help prepare for program increment planning. Coordinate dependencies with other product owners. Help prepare and present the system demo to show the most critical aspects of the solution to the stakeholders. Follow the competition and the industry. Keep abreast with agile/scrum best practices and new trends. Job RequirementsQualifications Minimum 1 year of experience in product management. Bachelors degree in computer science, engineering or similar relevant field. Knowledge of agile process and principles. Outstanding communication, presentation and leadership skills. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strong bias for action and business impact. Creative thinker with a vision. Attention to details. Certified Scrum Product Owner certification is a plus but not required. Knowledge of HL7 FHIR, and medical terminologies/ontologies is a plus but not required.
