Job Description

    PRODUCT TEST ENGINEER By making your big data small and beautiful, we empower you to better serve your customers. NGDATA s purpose and our way of achieving this purpose is greatly impacted by our product, the Intelligent Engagement Platform. As a Test Engineer at NGDATA, your main responsibility is the testing and quality assurance of our flagship product, the IEP.In this role, you will join a highly talented R&D team consisting out of 15+ people and will be able to have a significant impact on our and other businesses by co-creating and testing data-centric enterprise software.OPPORTUNITIESParticipate in the Agile Scrum team;You work closely together with an international team in a very dynamic environment with many opportunities for career growth;Collaborate in an effective way with the development and quality assurance teams consisting out of 15+ members;Get hands-on with innovative technology (Big Data Hadoop, Machine Learning aspects, );You report to the Quality Assurance Leader.RESPONSIBILITIESThorough testing and execution of scripts in order to identify and report potential bugs of the IEP;Represent the quality gate for every software change;Define and maintain test scenarios in order to obtain appropriate and sufficient coverage for the usage of the solution;Analyze, communicate the test results within the R&D team and properly documenting them in shared repositories and X-ray;Setup & maintain test environments (including test data preparations);Aligning with the test automation team in order to allow them to update automation suites according to the new functional test cases;PERSONAL SKILLSAbility to work in a fast paced, test-driven collaborative and iterative programming environment;Open minded and solution oriented;Persistent, precise and accurate;Have a logical approach to the solution of problems and good conceptual ability and skills in analysis;Proactive behavior in raising issues/escalation;Enjoying constantly expanding your knowledge base;Very good communication skills;Fluent in English.TECHNICAL BACKGROUNDBachelor s degree in Computer Science;Familiar with linux and basic scripting languages;Experience in test automation is considered a plus;Experience with Development and Test Tools such as Maven, git, Jira and X-ray is considered a plus.,
