Job Description

    * Role: SRE Lead Engineer AWS & Kubernetes Description : We are looking for talented engineers who can work both independently and with a broader team. Breadth and depth are highly desired, with practical experience in a wide range of DevOps/SRE tools and skills. A successful candidate can proactively build solutions and solve problems with minimal guidance. We are keenly interested in candidates with previous experience in all aspects of SRE services to provide 12x5 + on call support. The individual will be part of the DevOps/SRE team for Xoriant s customers and may be involved in building frameworks for Xoriant. This role requires close collaboration with multiple teams. You are expected lead the team to build and maintain tools for deployment, monitoring, and operations while striving to automate and streamline underlying processes. You must be able to efficiently troubleshoot and resolve issues in the given test and production environments. Responsibilities:
    • Own operational availability, security, scalability, efficiency, monitoring, instrumentation, and overall service reliability of the environment for assigned project.
    • Collaborate across Agile teams with Architects, Developers, Quality, Data, Security, and other Operations engineers on designing and implementing highly reliable solutions.
    • Embrace Site Reliability Engineering principles of proactivity, automation, cross-functional collaboration, data-driven decision making, and fast+safe failover, to continually improve our technology and culture.
    • Enhance our infrastructure, tooling, and processes to extend operability as a self-service function for other groups in the engineering value stream.
    • Participate in a rotating on-call schedule to troubleshoot and resolve production escalations.
    Skills Required:
    • Previous experience in production Site Reliability Engagement, or SaaS/Technical Operations
    • AWS experience in a production environment
    • Automation framework orchestration, configuration management, and software-defined infrastructure management techniques (terraform, packer and Ansible preferred, CloudFormation, AWS CLI, eksctl, also accepted also acceptable)
    • Prometheus . ELK, Graphite/Grafana
    • 2+ years of Kubernetes experience (EKS preferred, AKS/GKE/OpenShift acceptable) with Docker
    • Ability to write code in at least one programming language (e.g. Python, Perl, Java, Ruby, Go)
    • Large scale production UNIX/Linux operating system, application, and security maintenance in an online service provider environment
    • Experience managing large scale Kafka clusters
    Skills that will add value:
    • Infrastructure/application monitoring and Observability solutions (any of Datadog, In uxDB, Splunk, Graylog, etc.).
    • Application containerization and service-oriented-architecture technologies (Helm/Tiller, Nomad & rest of HashiCorp suite,)
    • CI / CD experience of working on tools like Jenkins , Harness or similar tools.
    • Experience with hybrid data tier platforms (MongoDB, Elasticsearch, ZooKeeper, Spark, Hive etc.).
    • SIEM,HIDS/NIDS, and related infrastructure tooling required to maintain positive control over security.
