Job Description

This exciting role offers opportunity to:
    • Manages the Profit and Loss of the NPD projects. Responsibility, Authority and Accountability (RAA) for project scope delivery and successful execution within technical, schedule, cost, resource and quality commitments.
    • Works in cross-disciplinary manner with other departments (e.g., product groups, Center of excellences, Marketing, SCM and Manufacturing) and facilitates the PROLaunch phase gate processes.
    • Work closely with Global program management teams and cross functional teams to ensure timely delivery on project.
    • Development of program management plan, estimates, creation of baseline cost and budgets. Identify and document program constraints and assumptions. Analyzes program data and looks for trends.
    • Develops schedules and updates the schedule on a regular basis. Identify milestones, ensure controls are in place to support Baseline Change Management
    • Coordinates all risks and requirements of the project. This is accomplished by planning, controlling, integrating all project activities and deliverables and measuring all elements to ensure the requirements and goals are successfully achieved.
    • Tracks program performance and Provides periodic project updates (Program Status Report Green/Yellow/Red) of current situation relating to milestones and problem/high risk areas (e.g., technical, cost, and schedule). Provides updates to the business units as well as divisional levels.
    • Ensure standard program management processes are utilized, best Practices & lessons learned are captured and properly disseminated.
    • Plays a key role in developing and executing the overall program plan.
    • Manage effective customer /supplier communications. Improve organization responsiveness to customer requirements. Communication and manage customer expectations and contractual commitments internal to the business.
    • Incumbent is responsible for driving the development of software in conformance to applicable automotive standards (ASPICE, AUTOSAR, ISO 26262).
    QualificationsRequirement:
    • Graduate/ Post Graduate with 6-8 years of experience, Bachelors in Mechanical/ Production engineering.
    • 3-5 years of product development experience in Automotive industry preferably in transmissions, Engine components & product life cycle experience of these products or related experience
    • Knowledge with Microsoft Business Software (e.g., Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Project 2007)
    • Leadership skills - capability to lead change in an Integrated Team (IPT).
    • Developing to fully demonstrating in Program and Project Management methodologies, processes and tools
    • Project Management Institute (PMI) accreditation (CAPM or PMP) highly recommended
    • Good communication and presentation skills both verbal and written with ability to make necessary status reports and technical presentations to Eaton management and global stakeholders
    • Experience managing projects with: 1) components / subsystems scope of responsibility, 2) Low to moderate customer business risk, 3) Low to moderate NRE budgets, and 4) Incremental Revenue Growth Program value
    • Must be capable of leading effectively in diverse cultural situations with our global Vehicle group stakeholders, customers and team members
    • Must be capable of initiating and providing recommendations for Division Leadership Team s review and approval that will achieve desired customer outcome
