As an international organization, Philips is well placed to offer a broad range of technical and leadership opportunities in various organizations throughout the world.You are responsible for1.Create strategic impact by initiating, organizing and implementing of breakthrough Commodity strategies, programs and policies - Creates global Supply Market intelligence regarding Commodity related trends and technologies per region to design optimum sourcing footprint - Identifies Supplier capabilities, performance and technologies by conducting competitive assessments and benchmark of existing and potential suppliers - Identifies Commodity related business opportunities and NPI projects (24 month) together with Procurement Engineering - Creates breakthrough CM Strategies and Programs in alignment with PE Business Partners to ensure best results and fully leveraged synergies - Ensure effective communication and representation of Commodity strategy, programs and performance to all key-stakeholders - Manage execution of Commodity Funnel measures in alignment with assigned Supplier Account Managers, Program Managers and Procurement Engineering

  1. Relentlessly drives bottom and top-line impact through optimum Sourcing footprint and Supply Base design - Creates and aligns sourcing plan together with Procurement
Engineering to optimize Supply Base and to implement Supplier enabled innovation - Defines convincing business cases and decision memos to ensure full commitment by the Businesses to provide required resources - Ensures full utilization of Negotiation Factory toolbox and approach to achieve maximum sourcing savings and best results - Leads cross-functional teams to program manage execution of Supply Base change projects via funnel and Source2ContractRfXevent management
  1. Leads assigned Supplier Account Manager network to drive Supplier Performance, compliance and risk management across entire Commodity - Finalizes and approves Supplier Strategy and Business plan based on defined Commodity strategies and proposals provided by Supplier Account Managers - Ensures operational impact through fully compliant Supplier selection, contracting and risk management for all Commodity related Suppliers 4. Driving DFX continuously, understanding our internal business processes and functional strategies (applicable to IMS)
4.Conducts complete diagnosis of most business problems, factoring in a strong understanding of inventory management - Independently identify, design, direct, and perform analyses to resolve complex first-time inventory issues - Proactively assess and recommend solutions to supplier-related problems (e.g. inventory flow problems, related process issues) - Recommends strategic direction for long term
  1. Ensure all purchases are cost-effective and within department standards - Advises mgmt. in budgetary issues - Typically responsible for procurement spend of value> 25 M for medium complexity

STET has been established as an entrepreneurial organization that focuses on fast-paced, high-quality portfolio transfers within the Philips global supply base to mitigate risk & maximize profitability.To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
  • B.S. in Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical or Electronic Engineering
  • MS in engineering preferred
  • 12+ or more years of proven CommodityManagement andproject management experience leading cross-functional teams
  • Experience leading globalprojects &lead by influencing
  • Demonstrated strong analytical andproblem solvingskills
  • Experience working in more than one functional area (operations, engineering, procurement, quality, etc.)
  • Knowledge of manufacturing quality systems and working in a regulated industry
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Project, Excel, Power Point, and Word required
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills required
  • Desired: - Separate expert level certifications in Lean/Six Sigma, Design to Cost and ProjectManagement methodologies
  • Procurement Governance experience - Cross-functional experience in related functions - Global Project Management experience - Experiencein applyingLean methodologies
  • Supplier Account Manager and/or Strategic Buyer and/or Site Project Procurement Management
