Job Description

POSITION : Purchase ManagerDEPARTMENT : PurchaseREPORT TO : General ManagerQualification Reqd. : B.E. / B.Sc.Experience : 6-12 years from construction onlyCTC Offered : 6 to 9 lac per annum Depend on the CandidatureMain ResponsibilityTo be responsible for the procurement of material through the development and implementation of commodity strategies plans and the management of supplier relationship. Other areas of responsibility include price negotiation, Cost Reduction, Supply Chain, Logistics and Planning.Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  1. To prepare & maintain AMC, Agreements, Solicitation of Offers, Comparative Bid Analysis.
  2. Vendor Identification & Management.
  3. Coordinating and maintaining indent, Meeting deadlines.
  4. Vendor Development, negotiation & Credit control.
  5. On time Procurement & ensuring on time delivery.
  6. Cost comparison with different source and analysis the market trend & fix the price.
  7. To monitor continual improvement from supplier end.
  8. Coordinate with logistic.
  9. System Knowledge of SAP/ ERP, MS-Office.
  10. Coordinate with quality for supplies.
  11. Maintain optimum level of inventory.
  12. To manage the vendor and keep a good relationship with them.
  13. Lead the procurement group in all phases.
  14. Ensure implementation of all the compliances related to purchase.
  15. Prepare and issues purchase orders in accordance with company policy and negotiated terms and conditions.
  16. Responsible for maintaining ISO docs timely.
  17. Track purchasing activity with vendor till invoice submission to the department.
  18. Knowledge of Import & Export.
  19. Knowledge of payment instruments.
  • Discuss defective or unacceptable new goods or services with users, vendors and others to determine cause of problem and take corrective and preventative action.
  • Ensure supplier compliance with site and company requirement for safety.
  • Assist department in developing and implementing purchasing strategies for products.
  • Responsible for planning, developing and buying material, parts, supplies and equipment in a timely and cost effective manner while maintaining appropriate quality standards and specifications
  • Liaise with account department to ensure accurate and timely payment of invoices
  • To manage import related process and procedures.
