Job Description

  • BS/BA degree in a technical field Scope of work - Use test tools and manual testing to validate software, seeking input from team members on the best test techniques to utilize.
  • Your scope of work is to apply existing processes to plan and execute tests for small to mid-size components and/or product features; Write and improve small scripts or automate test cases using your team s test tools or a well-defined framework; Able to take a defined test plan and deliver against it on schedule, providing quality reports and status updates; Troubleshoot and isolate bugs to help developers research the root cause of problems, and track defects through resolution.
  • Thinking outside of the box - Understand software test techniques, such as equivalence class partitioning, boundary value testing, etc.
  • Agility - Learning about multiple test techniques and tools; Seek to learn the business context and technologies behind your team s software; Demonstrate an understanding of the product, both how it functions and the technologies behind it.
  • Clearly document your processes to ensure that future generations of testers understand the intention behind the test methods you use.
  • Take ownership of problems (even when outside your own domain), propose solutions, and either drive their resolution or ensure a clear hand-off to the right owner.
  • Online retail experience is a plus
