Job Description

Position summary:

Engineer and maintain software services and tools vital to software creation and delivery. Develop and maintain automation, metrics and reporting that will improve overall delivery efficiency and ensure workflow processes are stable including builds, deployments, monitoring, reporting, and testing infrastructure.

Principal duties and responsibilities:

  • Write, review, revise, and monitor automation scripts for customizing and automating software build, deployment, packaging, and related tasks.
  • Maintain and support vital engineering workflows and access
  • Support production engineering in correlating post- release production issues to release changes via RCA/ICA processes
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any problems with major artifact and code repository tools and processes.
  • Work closely with automated testing teams to plan, assist, deploy and analyze automated testing and evaluate results.
  • Assure secure software through maintaining security scanning processes and reports to engineers, software management, production and executive teams.
  • Oversee processes for unscheduled and/or emergency releases.
  • Perform tasks related to securing and keeping the products, tools, and processes that you are responsible for securing

Knowledge, skills and qualifications

Education: BS or MS in Computer Science or Similar IT/Engineering degree

Minimum years of work experience: 2+

Required skills:

  • Java/C++/C/Go or OO Perl/Python
  • XML/XSD
  • Build Tools (Maven/Gradle/make/cmake)
  • Gitflow (branch and merge strategies)
  • Linux/Windows
  • TCP/IP networks
  • CI/Build servers (Jenkins/Bamboo)
  • Software security best practices.
