We believe that our differences enable us to be a better team one that makes better decisions, drives innovation and delivers better business results.Job TitleReliability Engineer II The Enterprise Monitoring team offers robust monitoring, event management, correlation, automation and run book solutions to help MasterCard deliver continuous up-time of business services and applications and, optimize operations costs and efficiency.This individual will work closely with technology support teams and application teams to build monitoring and automation solutions to improve the application and infrastructure availability.1) Have you resolved a complex application availability issue with monitoring and automation 2) Are you a self-started with minimal direction and guidance 3) Have you ever been part of a team with diverse skills and experience located in different geographical locations/time zones Role tRepresent Enterprise Monitoring team in project meetings and provide advice, status, training, and technical support. tAdminister, support, and maintain IBM Tivoli Monitoring Suite of Products multi-tier environment. tWork with our customers to understand the requirements and implement new monitoring solutions using available tool sets and scripting languages. tMaintain design and support documents for all built solutions and processes. tOn-call administration and operations support. tAs new technologies emerge and impact our environment, learn these technologies very quickly and resolve any problems involved in integrating new technologies. tSupport business disaster recovery procedures for assigned areas of responsibility. tAccurately document duties and procedures to aid the department in cross-training and absentee coverage. tWork with technical engineering teams to manage and improve processes. tAbility to identify tasks which should be automated and then write the necessary script.All About You tAt least 5 years of hands-on with multiple enterprise systems management/monitoring tools such as IBM Tivoli Monitoring, Omnibus Netcool Suite, SCOM, Nagios etc. tExperience working with IBM Tivoli Products and its core sub-products. tAdvanced user level expertise in UNIX and/or Red Hat Linux tSolid experience with upgrading and migrating various components like TEPS, TEMS, Tivoli Agent. tIs able to work with different application teams to understand the requirements and implement new monitoring solutions using available tool sets and scripting languages. tFamiliarity with at least couple of database technologies like Oracle, SQL , MongoDB, Cassandra. tNetworking experience from basics to advanced, along with security knowledge. tProficient with some type of scripting or programming language such as Perl and shell scripting tSolid knowledge of operating systems, infrastructure software, computer hardware and peripherals. tAbility to manage multiple activities and work with a strong sense of urgency tStrong people skills and the ability to understand business needs and translate them into technical solution. Document processes, procedures and coordinate appropriate training/knowledge transfer.COVID-19 Considerations We value the safety of each member of our community because we know we re all in this together.
