Assessment and Reassessment: The duty medical office should assess the patient:Within 1 hour of arrival in the wardWithin 15 minutes in Intensive Care Unit or Emergency RoomReassessment of the patient shall be performed at regular intervals:Every 8 hours in Critical Care Areas.Every 24 hours in the wards.Earlier if needed.Documentation:All entries should carry DMO s Name, Signature, Date and Time.Drug Chart should be filled in Capitals and SignedConsultation request should be filled in and signed.Consent forms should be correctly filled n and signed.Transfer notes accompany every patient moving from wards to Critical Care Areas or vice versa.Discharge Process: It is the responsibility of the DMO to ensure that the patient of the respective ward is quite comfortable and happy.To ensure that all the patients leave the hospital along with discharge summary.To ensure that the discharge process are completed within. hoursTo update the discharge summary format then and there.Others: To accompany the Consultants during their ward roundsTo ensure that the orders of the consultants are carried out efficiently & effectively.To ensure that consent of the patient is obtained in the appropriate from duringtransfer in /out of ICU/CCU,CTICUCare regarding physiotherapy / type of diet / dressings / suture removal.Record the complications / adverse reactions /untoward happenings.Respond to patients medical problems by referring to their history, carrying out diagnosis, treatment, counseling and referral, where necessary.Order lab tests and interpret the test results.Maintain confidentiality and impartiality at all times.Collect, record and maintain sensitive patient information such as examination results, medical history and reports.Perform minor surgeries.Explain procedures or prescribed treatments to patients.Liaise with medical professionals in the community and hospitals.Promote health education in conjunction with other health professionals.Meet targets set by government for specified treatments eg. child immunization.General : To participate and contribute to the departmental quality initiatives.To be aware of departments performance and objectives.To carryout data collection / support in data collection.To adhere the safety norms of the hospitals and follow both patient safety and staff safety rules.Any other responsibility as deemed fit from to time by the Management.I have received the following from HR Department .,
