Job Description

Marketplace Manager Role: The Marketplace Manager is a subject matter expert in the cloud marketplace platform and the integrations between the marketplace and the channel s own existing systems. The Marketplace Manager will work with and support other functional areas of the business (Sales, Support, Product Management, Legal, Procurement, Commercial and Finance) to ensure the products can be launched, supported and managed in - life effectively. They play a key role in enabling the organisation to scale and optimise the marketplace platform and cloud applications portfolio. Developer on - boarding:

  • Working with AppDirect Developer Services team and the ISV to integrate, test and launch new products on the marketplace. Includes supporting the ISV with product SKU/edition, pricing, contract information etc.
  • Creation of any launch promotions in the marketplace for new applications (eg bundles, discounts, new MIS reports required to support launch sales incentives etc).
  • Configuring any trials that are offered for products, including duration and opt - in opt - out commercial model.
Marketing and Online Support:
  • Making use of marketplace capabilities to help promote certain applications and simplify the customer experience from find to buy . Includes use of the carousel and application categories to make it easier for customer to search for and compare applications.
  • Develop and maintain all customer communications sent from the marketplace for app accounts, trials and subscriptions. This includes all email and SMS templates.
  • Collaborate with internal Marketing and Online teams to create landing pages which promote the benefits of the applications to customers, with a clear value proposition that allies it with your brand, and ensure seamless customer journeys from landing pages to the relevant parts of the marketplace.
  • Creation and maintenance of discount voucher codes to be used for GTM campaigns.
  • Implement changes to products sold via the marketplace where required by Marketing and Product Management teams. Includes product features and videos, customer emails and SMS.
Product Management Support:
  • Implement changes to products sold via the marketplace where agreed by Commercial and Product Management teams. Includes price changes, contract term changes, discounts and bundles with other products, trial offerings etc.
Legal Support:
  • Ensure product Terms and Conditions - and Terms of Service and End User Licensing Agreements - are available on the marketplace, presented in an appropriate position in the customer journey, and that that any flow through requirements for the Company Terms and Conditions are agreed and implemented with the Company Legal team.
Training and knowledge transfer:
  • Act as a Centre of Excellence for all Marketplace launch, GTM and in - life support activities.
  • As an internal subject matter expert, raise awareness of new applications and platform capabilities. Sharing this knowledge with internal Sales, Support and Commercial teams promote confidence and self - sufficiency in use of the marketplace.
  • Ensure that internal documentation, and agent for example, are maintained and kept up to date in line with the latest platform capability based the evolution of the AppDirect weekly release cycle.
Marketplace insights:
  • First point of contact to provide single source of data for the marketplace and app sales and activation. This would ideally be facilitated by the use of the AppDirect Marketplace Insights.
