Job Description

Dear Candidate,Greetings from Aelius City!We have an opening fora SAP Systems Administrator.This person is responsible for SAP solution lifecycle management and for ensuring the performance and reliability of SAP and other enterprise systems. He/She will work with various other IS teams to establish the infrastructure standards and requirements for proper operation of SAP systems and landscapes and will provide the highest level of technical expertise and consulting on SAP platforms. This person will work with functional and technical teams to identify, install, configure, support, and document SAP and related solutions to meet business objectives. This may include landscape planning, hardware sizing, feasibility assessments, and new product research.Some of the responsibilities are:

  • Installing, configuring, monitoring, tuning, troubleshooting the SAP technical environment on an ongoing basis as well as scheduling and executing the SAP transport system.
  • Administer the systems, including security maintenance, patches, and printing, performance, and transport management.
  • Lead Customer business team through Requirements gathering, present SAP landscape Solution based on SAP Best Business Practices.
  • Monitor the landscape and notify and work with functional and technical teams to resolve issues identified both internally and as reported by users.
  • Participate in projects to implement and/or enhance SAP systems and applications and work with technical and development teams to define user requirements, coordinate system-wide updates and install upgrades and patches.
  • Provide recommendations for enhancements/changes that may involve custom design, optional and/or third party products to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the landscape.
  • Security duties include identifying and resolving security issues and performing user profile management, creating and updating access permissions and maintaining user accounts.
  • Monitor and maintain performance metrics for system features and recommends and takes corrective/preventive actions on those metrics.
  • Participate in the design, development and implementation of test and production objects.
  • Perform configuration, change management and testing activities as required.
  • Consult with users on technology changes that will impact work processes.
  • Participate in On-Call duties as required
Required skills:
  • 10+ years experience with SAP systems landscape management (BASIS).
  • Expert knowledge in management of the SAP environment including Net weaver, PI,BW,ECC,SCM, Enterprise Portals, Solution Manager and in handling ABAP & JAVA Stacks.
  • Hands on experience on HANA Installation, migration and administration of SAP HANA system integration within an SAP Landscape. Role covers HANA Security, HANA SLT Configuration, Suite on HANA and BW on HANA Migrations, HANA System Monitoring, HANA Install & Config, Health Check, and Monitoring.
  • Experience handling at least 2 implementation and Upgrade projects desirable.
  • Sound knowledge of SAP Security/Authorizations.
  • Preferred experience with running SAP on Oracle databases.
  • Solaris/UNIX and Linux application servers.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
