Your essential responsibilities include: Drives the technical delivery of solutions from initiation through development, validation, go-live and user adoption.Collaborate with the Solution Designers ensuring that proposed technical design is in alignment with the Architecture Working Group.Partnering across technical teams including Platform, EDM, and support teams to deliver business results and value through projects.Provide solution expertise and architecture guidance for building and maintaining data lake applications, which is going to be back bone of Eaton Business Intelligence applications architecture.Experience with Business Intelligence tools and thorough understanding of Big Data - Hadoop - Cloudera (Oozie, Hive, Impala, Spark, Mapreduce/YARN etc.), Shell Scripting, NoSQL - MarkLogic, SQL Language, Python, Java and Data Science.Expert level understanding of data warehousing and business intelligence principles.Hands on technical expertise in BI tools - coding, development and guding techncial team on development activities.Expert level understanding of Structured Query Language (SQL) and relational database principles.Perform design reviews and code reviews.Proven experience working with large data volumesTechnofunctional understanding of major ERPs - SAP and Oracle prefered from data and analytics prespectiveRegularly interacts with the customer to establish processes and advancing BI capability / usability centered on designing and delivering solutions that balance strategic and customer driven needs.Provides guidance / support locally within the region and globally as required to guide and troubleshoot complex problems in a timely manner.Regularly communicates and reinforces status, prioritization and timing back to project, program and organizational leaders of critical success measures, issues, and mitigation strategies.Responsible for process, standards, governance and performance of the shared structures and technical environments.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Ability to drive projects with broad scope of deployment, including sector and/or region

• Design and lead solutions for global processes for various functional organizations
• Create development standards and promote modularization and reuse of code
• Contribute to creation of policies, of standard approaches and techniques
• Understand, learn and develop on different automation tools
• Develop foundational capabilities for automation like Architecture for data lake development at Eaton
• Collaborate with business and development teams to drive robust testing methodologies
• Work within operational and performance metrics to drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications
• Bachelors degree in a technical discipline such as: B.E / BTech / MCA / Equivalent (EITC) or B.S. Comp Sci / Mathematics / Engineering / Equivalent 7+ Yrs of Experience
• 7+ years of relevant industry experience on design, development, implementation and administration of BI application development.
• Should have hands on experience on Hadoop ecosystem development including MapReduce/YARN, HDFS, Hive, Impala, Oozie, Zookeeper and Spark.
• Should have strong experience working with different Hadoop distributions like Cloudera, Hortonworks, MapR and Apache
• Experience and understanding of data ingestion patterns for DataLake/DataHub and experience in designing & implementing re-usable frameworks/utilities
• Added advantage if candidate has good understanding on NoSQL Database concepts
• Added advantage if candidate has worked on MarkLogic and familiar with concepts like MarkLogic Architecture, E v/s D Node, New feature in ML-9, etc.
• Should be familiar with Data Model and Data Warehouse concepts
• Understanding and exposure to Java, Python, Shell Scripting, Unix environment preferred.
• Business intelligence tools (Cloudera Platform, Marklogic, Power BI), DataWarehousing/Data modeling Concepts, SQL, Xquery, Unix skills, Python and Java programming.
• Quick Learner, Good comunication skills, Ability to understand complex processes and architecture. Team player - guiding and mentoring team. Willing to share knowledge.
