Job Description

State the primary function or overall purpose of your position.

• This position includes responsibility for administering assigned activities in two key global management reporting systems ENCORE, RADAR, ARCS, FCSS. These systems provide a worldwide database in which financial results, projections and supplemental data are collected for the financial management of Eaton. Worldwide users depend on this database to enable them to communicate financial results and projections, as well as to model potential business conditions. The customers of these systems range from the plant accountants and administrative assistants to the Senior Leadership Council (SLC).

• The Regional System Administration role is the hub of the ENCORE/RADAR/ARCS/FCSS systems and has responsibility for ensuring the system is fully accessible by end users during published hours. For prompt resolution of problems, the Regional System Administrator must coordinate activities and communicate effectively with Eaton IT s DBA group and programmers, customers and their staffs, as well as other finance organizations, including GFSS.
• This will be an Individual contributor role

• Automated Job Scheduling
• Directing relationships and problem resolution with Eaton IT Production Support
• Teaming with customer support in resolution of end user problems
• Testing of enhancements
• Other jobs as assigned by Manager of System Administration

The System Administrator/Reporting Analyst must possess the ability to do the following

• Analyze and solve problems effectively
• Clearly state the problem and quickly gain concurrence with the parties involved
• Prioritize the important elements of the problem and gather data related to these elements
• Develop alternatives, pros and cons and develop a recommendation
• Deliver the analysis in a clear, concise fashion

• React appropriately in crisis situations - anticipate negative situations and act quickly to minimize their impact, as well as maintain calm under pressure
• Support to new Financial Reporting System project

QualificationsDescribe any specialized knowledge or skill (e.g., technical, scientific, administrative, managerial), which your position requires.

• Graduate/Postgraduate - BCA, MCA, MBA IT or any Technical Certification with Finance Functional Background
• List the specific functions which must be performed in order to fulfill the purpose of your position as described above.
• Monitoring of ENCORE/RADAR for technical and functional problems in order to ensure access by the worldwide user community on a 24/7 basis.
• Review and monitor Control-M job schedules
• Track system availability. Recommend and implement improvements to increase system availability.
• In order to meet the above system availability requirements, calls from Global Support with alerts of system problems may require the System Adminstrator s involvement to resolve in a timely manner.
• Must be available for resolution of off hour issues and activities.
• Investigate, recommend and develop new reporting mechanisms, as applicable.
• Assist ENCORE customer support analyst to ensure and attest to the data integrity.
• Analyze system problems and implement solutions to correct such problems.
• Communicate and collaborate with other system and business owners, (Oracle, Hyperion, ENCORE) for resolution of issues to ensure data integrity.
• Monitor and reconcile the monthly transfer of actual results from Oracle general ledger to RADAR.
• Monitor monthly transfers of data from Oracle HR to ENCORE/RADAR for all ledgers and administrative locations.
• Authorize and administer access to ENCORE/RADAR security for dissemination of data to Eaton personnel.
• Publish/Unpublish Input and Report Templates
• Support systems upgrades and enhancements including planning, testing, analysis, and roll-out.
• Preparation of SOX Documentation / Narratives. Driving biannual security review of ENCORE users for SOX IT Management validation.
• Symbol Maintenance majorly Entity symbols for additions / modifications.
