Job Description

nullIn this role, you have the opportunity to design, develop and maintain Diagnostic X-ray (Radiography, Fluoro & Mammography) and realization of a range of products in such a way that future products options and features can be realized with acceptable effects for the earlier products. The system architect is directly responsible for the architecture of a range of large and complex systems and/or subsystems.You are responsible for

  • Contributing to the innovation of products, processes and procedures
o Leads technical pre-studiesoDelivers according to the pre-study charteroParticipates in innovation studies
  • The technology road-map
oMakes an inventory of the technology optionsoDefines, maintains and deploys technology roadmaps and indicates long-term expectations on developments within the application area, in close cooperation with the Business Architect
  • The requirements of the whole product line
oElicits and analyses the stakeholder requirementsoPrepares proposals and alternatives, guiding towards optimum balance of short-& long-term requirements, for discussion with major stakeholders.oSpecifies the requirements of a project, which serves as contract for the project s WHAT will be delivered, with focus on good-is-good-enough
  • Managing the technical and safety risks
  • The (sub)system architecture of the product line/innovation program
oCreates the product architecture in a modular, easy to maintain and extendible components and modules, and guards and manages the architectureoDefines and details the product architecture, to the level that it can be realized by project teams
  • Detecting common architectural and functional components in order to enable reuse and maintainability
  • Implementing the constraints that originate from legacy and relevant ilities
  • Discussion, deploys and attunes solutions with the project stakeholders
  • Determining and managing the external and internal interfaces framework in cooperation with all interface stakeholders
  • Monitors and manages that the architecture is understood and used correctly by all stakeholders .
  • Advises on internal development or outsourcing .
  • Advises on realization, planning and budgets .
  • Obtain and maintains internal and external network for knowledge build-up.

  • Master/Bachelor in Engineering in related discipline
  • Preferably 15+ years of experience
  • Has an in depth understanding of all products of the CDG individual is working for
  • Has an in depth understanding of all involved and upcoming new technologies
  • Leads the creative process of the architecture of a product range.
  • Able to reach a solution within a complex and very often conflicting business requirements.
  • Understanding of the business strategy and development
  • Several years of experience as system designer or architect in a Software/Hardware discipline.
  • Experienced in technical leadership
  • Knows how to engage technical people in coming to the proposed solution
  • Lateral thinker with helicopter view, capable of finding appropriate solutions covering the implications in other disciplines
  • Good listener
