Senior Design Engineer Job Role: To administer the assigned product/ module design engineering scope in a project as per schedule with requisite qualityPrincipal Accountabilities: Take ownership of the assigned MDL scope relevant to the design engineering in a project Manage the assigned design scope including 3D model in order to fulfil project requirements Identify limitation of assigned product/ module design engineering scope and highlight it to design lead along with possible solutions Implement necessary changes in agreement with design lead Raise, clarify and evaluate internal and external interfaces related to assigned design engineering scope Contribute to the design review preparation for assigned scope Ensure the correctness of design engineering inputs and their implementation in 3D model on design drawings for the assigned scope Implement department guidelines, codal provisions for design engineering to the assigned scope Implement client/ internal design requirements pertaining to assigned scope Ensure desired functionality for the assigned scope in agreement with lead Guide the reporting design engineers with respect to the work they are performing and ensure correctness of output Suggest improvements to the relevant design engineering guidelines procedures Monitor the design engineers and their KPIs for delivering assigned scope Regularly notify lead about progress of assigned scope and highlight potential delays if any Monitor and control design deliverables for assigned scope Support in resolving supplier TQ, SQ, concessions and NCRs for assigned design scope Support testing activities at the fabrication yard related to assigned scope Support in resolving queries related to fabrication/ manufacturing , project requirements for assigned scope Support as a technical point of contact for assigned PO Ensure HSE in design for assigned scope Support subordinates for timely completion of all the mandatory and relevant e - learning programmes Spread awareness about following the HSE, ISO and other departmental guidelines within the group Skills Required: Understanding of good engineering practices in design and drawings Proficiency in design using 3D CAD tools (Solid Works or similar) Good knowledge of codes and standards relevant to design engineering Good analytical skills and ability to interpret the implication of proposals Self - motivated and ability to lead small teams Good communication skills - Both verbal and written Experience: Total work experience of 8+ years in design engineering for various domains such as Automobile/ material handling/ Special purpose machines/ Process equipment 2+ years of experience in leading design team in projects 2+ years of exposure to manufacturing/ fabrication Salary: As per the InterviewEducation: Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical/ Production/ Automobile) or Postgraduate in engineering (CAD/ CAM)Location : Hinjewadi - Pune (India),
