• We are looking forward for an Embedded Firmware Engineer in Eaton s Crouse and B-Line electrical business who is Passionate to work in Embedded firmware Domain, who understands and inculcate Ethical values with Transparency. He/She is a quick learner and easily adapts to upcoming technical domains and believes in leading the team from front. He/She is Efficient and takes Accountability to assigned charter which fits in to overall Goals of embedded firmware for wireless products development. He/She must have a keen eye for Quality and should be passionate about meeting the deadlines.
• The incoming person would be mainly responsible for close collaboration with Product owner, to interpret product requirements and implement it which would be integrated with other hardware or Mobile app. The engineer will own responsibility and quality of all assigned work ensuring the product meets all functional, technical and firmware reliability goals. Further, the person is expected to:
• Quick learner on Bluetooth & BLE Mesh communication protocols Programing expertise in C / C++ with RTOS and Zephyr OS. .Own designing, code development, deployment and testing for various embedded features. Master various technical tools, languages, and frameworks for the same.
• Experience in working on I2C, SPI, PWM, A2D, Veeprom NV Mem Management, Flash drivers.
• Understand customer and product owners requirements, convert it to backlog of work, which will be executed in an Agile development. Work with team in an Agile environment, following all Agile methodologies, not limited to backlog grooming, scrum, sprint demo & retrospectives.
• Demonstrate the technical and operational excellence that can drive innovation and apply state-of-the-art technologies to solve real-world challenges.
• Work closely with Program Manager, Multi discipline Engineering, hardware, mechanical, certification, firmware sourcing and Manufacturing personnel to design the products in an organized and expedited way.
• Experience in development, design & testing of Embedded Systems using C, C++ programming language.
• Experience of working on Integration in between Firmware & Software , Firmware & Hardware.
• Experience in working on I2C, SPI, PWM, A2D, Veeprom NV Mem Management, Flash drivers.
• Extensively worked on RTOS. Preferable is Zephyr RTOS.
• Manage and have ownership for all development lifecycles including designing, development, validation, and release with respect to process
• Monitor tasks in progress, solve and prevent issues
• Develop supporting engineering documentation including SRS,SDS etc.
• Support and coach technically new joiner and junior developer.
QualificationsRequirement:
• BE or Btech or MCA
• 8+ yrs. of exp in development, design & testing of Embedded Systems using C, C++ programming language.
• 8+ yrs. of exp in basic Hardware Design, Hardware/Firmware Debugging Skills.
• 4+ yrs. of exp working on Integration in between Firmware & Software , Firmware & Hardware.
• 6+ yrs. of exp in working on I2C, SPI, PWM, A2D, Vee prom NV Mem Management, Flash drivers.
• 4+ yrs. of exp in working with wireless communication protocols such as BLE Mesh or Bluetooth or Wi-Fi.
• Participate in solution and code reviews with team members for modules/tasks and ensuring that best practices and efficient coding standards are adhered to.
• Extensively worked on RTOS. Preferable is Zephyr RTOS.
• Experience of working on Over the Air Firmware upgrades.
• Experience of working on GNU tools , make files and linker scripts.
• Experience of Static analysis tool like Coverity is an added advantage.
• Experience of working on wireless communication protocol-based development. BLE Mesh is preferrable.
• Experience of working on Segger Embedded studio , Visual studio for Embedded platform is added advantage.
• Collaborate with global product engineering teams and Incorporates support for the manufacturing, commissioning, and ongoing maintenance of the product / system.
