Job Description

Description Candidate will work on Embedded software development and testing for ship controls according to specification , will play a key role in Machine automation Team and will drive Marine software Projects. Responsibilities

    • Understand Project / Work Scope, plan and deliver quality output / deliverables to meet the expected schedule and timeline
    • Design and implement software of embedded devices and systems from requirements to production and commercial deployment
    • Design, develop, code, test and debug system software / firmware
    • Review code and design
    • Knowledge in using CAN-bus protocol and real-time ethernet
    • Architecture modelling
    • Architecture verification
    • Clone detection and management
    • Knowledge of real-time operating system
    • Assess third party and open source software.
    • Provide post production support by identifying complex technical issues, evaluating options and implementing solutions.
    • Create technical manuscripts of firmware operation
    • Interface with hardware design and development
    • Periodic Interaction with Engineering Manager through Verbal & Written Communication
    • Closely coordinate with other departments
    • Generate Project Metrics as per EIC-Pune and / or Business Unit Guidelines
    • Report Local Manager for All the activities
    • Contribute to EIC-Pune Assigned Initiatives
    • Should be able to work in Engineering Laboratory for Product & System Level Testing following Safety Practices & Guidelines
Requirements
  • MinimumBachelor s in Engineering Electronics / Instrumentation or relevant discipline.
  • 5-8years of experience in Embedded software development and Design includingtroubleshooting / debugging embedded targets and C/C programming
  • Solid understanding of software developmentfundamentals
  • Goodin CAN-Bus Protocol, Real time ethernet
  • Knowledgeof real time Operating systems, Familiarity with common Linux andWindows operating systems and general commands
  • Knowledgeof Architecture Modelling and verification
  • Strong understanding of data networking andsecurity concepts
  • Familiaritywith software configuration management tools, defect tracking tools, sourcecode control tools, and peer review including Eclipse, Mercurial (or otherDVCS), and GCC
  • Experience in embedded systems design withpreemptive, multitasking real-time operating systems (RTOS), including OScoding techniques, interfaces and hardware subsystems.
  • Functional knowledge with TCP/IP protocols.
  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is aplus.
  • Experience with schematics, component datasheets and electronic test equipment.
  • Exposureto Valve Domain, Solenoid Valves will be preferred.
  • Conversantwith MS Office Software tools such Word, Excel & Power Point.
  • GoodLateral Thinking, Strong customer/partner focus with excellentorganizational and problem-solving skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated, capable of working with minimalsupervision.
  • Undertakes work in an efficient and timelymanner.
  • Handle projects independently and guide teammembers as and when required

  • A willingnessto learn is critical
  • GoodCommunication skills in Verbal English with neutral accent is must
  • PriorWorking Experience in Global Engineering Environment is preferred
