Job Description Senior Engineer/ Lead Engineer/ Technical Lead Primary Location: India- Maharashtra- Pune Job Function: Engineering Job Posting Date: Jun 20, 2019, 3: 14: 22 PM Description This is a position in the Global Lab Support group with responsibilities to design, develop and improve lab equipment used globally in compressor development labs. Responsibilities Handle a team of 3- 4 CAD Design Engineers provide technical leadership Guide the team on Projects, day to day activities and resolve queries of team members in timely manner Work with TL/ PM on Engineering Development projects. Assist team on technical requirements through domain knowledge expertise tool expertise Independently handle Design Reviews to maintain desired quality levels set by organization Participate in Development, Cost Reduction, Quality Improvement and Sustaining Engineering activities Conceptualize innovative ideas for technical problems, experimentation for proof of concept, adherence to codes and compliances Project Estimation, Planning, Scheduling of projects ensuring adherence to schedule Maintaining project metrics Generation Protection of intellectual property Participate in team meetings and the design verification / review process Work with suppliers as necessary to optimize design requirements while maintaining costs Work on continuous process improvements Additional Information Travel: 1% Requirements Basic Self- driven individual capable of working independently with minimum supervision Complete ownership of the function/ team with accountability of teams deliverables Single point of contact between customer and team Excellent verbal written communication skills with understanding of KFD factor Ability to take critical impactful decisions in the interest of the project while owning them Develop domain knowledge expertise in team work for the development of team with futuristic approach Drive promote LEAN culture in team Strong interpersonal skills, team cohesion Ability to learn adapt Preferred BE Mechanical with a minimum of 8- 10 years experience in CAD with domain expertise in Refrigeration Air- conditioning systems.
