Job Purpose Statement The candidate will be delivering on API integration platform called Mulesoft that will bring standardisation and consistency in user experience and integration within PE and externally as well. Primarily engineer would model and design the RESTful API. He/she will also develop the public or private API / proxy and publish it for consumer and make it easy to use and consistent. Key Responsibilities 1. D esigns and developes RESTful API s 2. Coding, unit testing by following MuleSoft APIs standards 3. Help the team for latest code deployments on different environments 4. Provide input to QE on new features testing 5. Work with Sustenance engineers for preparing the automated pipeline 6. Quickly analyse, fix, test and implement the production issues 7. Maintains the consistency using API Design Documentation tools like RAML, Swagger 8. Be innovative and come up with better solutions for new challenges 9. Drive the Proof of concepts and establish the results that helps to take decisions 10. Work closely with PM and PO to learn new features, and provide better estimates for tasks. 11. Work supportively with colleagues, operating in a collegiate manner at all times and in line with the Company s values. Technical Competencies (Experience and Knowledge) Experience in designing and developing RESTful API s.Experience with API Design Documentation tools like RAML, Swagger etc.Experience with Test Drive Development (TDD) and unit testing to deliver high quality Software components.Strong programming skills in any of the commonly used languages like Python, Java etc.Experience with Object Oriented approach of Software Development.Experience with Agile development methodology.Experience using CI/CD tools (e.g. Jenkins) and DevOps for deployment automation.Experience with Relational Databases like MySQL, Oracle, MSSQL.Experience in design, coding, testing, implementation, and documentation of MuleSoft APIs.Experience with MuleSoft AnyPoint Platform 3.X-4.X including API Manager/API gateway.Experience with Integration Architecture concepts and patterns, including Micro Services, Service Oriented Architecture.Drive Proof of Concepts and Investigation tasks for better solutions.
