This exciting role offers opportunity to:

  • The Software Requirements Engineer s primary responsibility will be Delivering Software Requirements Production Level software development for EATON s Electrification products on Power electronics and Power distribution portfolio. The position will be involved in many different aspects of the product life-cycle, ranging from product specification, requirements engineering, Design & Development, and validation. Successful candidates will possess the determination required to track down and solve hard to find vehicle level controls issues.
  • Applicant shall have experience in design, development of HV and LV Power converters. Applicant shall have exposure of performing analytical design calculations, knowledge of system requirements and validation methods including HILS and vehicle testing. Candidate should have knowledge of vehicle market and technology trends. The candidate must be self-motivated and possess good communication skills. Preferred to have cross functional team working experience (namely engineering, manufacturing, project management, marketing and supply chain).
  • Define Software Requirements, of electric machine drives specifically for automotive powertrain electrification for Automotive Controllers for Autosar based software .
  • Maintaining Requirements in Jazz, doors and establishing linkages to system requirents
  • Works closely with global and internal team members for Production Software development and integration on Dynamometer and vehicle level environment.
  • Provides guidance and helps software engineers from the team.
  • Maintain up to date knowledge of new technology and recent development and trends in motor control technologies.
QualificationsRequirement:
  • Master s Degree in Electronics / Electronics and Communication Engineering with 7+ years of embedded software development experience
  • 6+ years Experience in deriving software requirement from systems requirement for safety critical application (ISO26262).
  • Knowledge of requirement management tool -Jazz platform DNG & RQM
  • Experience with AUTOSAR BSW Stack -configuration /Integration- MCAL Configuration and integration, CDD development .
  • knowledge of Communication Protocol - CAN Classic & CAN FD, J1939 , LIN , PLC, XCP
  • knowledge of Controllers - AUTOMOTIVE Grade, safety complaint controllers(Renesas, Infineon)Controllers - AUTOMOTIVE Grade, safety complaint controllers(Renesas, Infinion)
  • Tools - vector Canape, Canalyzer, debuggers, Inca, vector cast.
  • Software Architecture for safety critical application(ISO26262 Safety standatrd)
  • Experience with System Software requirement drill down.
