Position: Visual Designer
Create compelling and engaging visual designs for Automation Solution products that include web sites, mobile, desktop and custom platforms. Support the implementation of a visual design language for our products
Education:
Bachelor s degree in visual design, graphic design, visual communication, digital design engineering, or industrial design with 4 - 8 years related experience;
OR Master s degree in same areas 3-5 years related experience
Essential Job Skills:
Creating visual designs that engage and delight our customers and clients
Produce pristine high-fidelity visual designs that tell a compelling story
Understanding and empathy for users using stakeholder maps, personas and experience diagrams
Creating design concepts to be adopted and used by others
Experience in building design prototypes for review and usability testing
Collaborate with 3rd party design and interactive firms of Emerson-wide branding, design standards, and specific products
Proficiency with Adobe CC and other sketching and prototyping tools
Fluency in human centered design including personas, site maps, and wireframing
Ability to illustrate icons, logos, infographics
Well versed in design deliverables like design comps, assets, and visual style guides
Knowledgeable of other human focused technologies such as gesture interaction, mixed media, and virtual environments
Best practice knowledge in human centered design and user experience
