• Position s focus will be Firmware development for Electrical Fusible & safety products part of Bussmann Division CPD group. Enrich & foster climate of innovation to drive growth & accelerate capability development. This includes
• Firmware Engineer to deliver & contribute in product development & technology innovation by understanding product requirements, design & development, validation & feature enhancements using programming languages like Assembly, C, C++, C# on embedded systems.
• Leads product development & technology innovation (in design & development, support of embedded projects encompassing functionality from industrial protocols stacks, cybersecurity feature implementation and to the development of a shared, reusable, secure, scalable Software.
• Thinks outside the box and is willing to research and explore new avenues to overcome obstacles by utilizing the latest technologies and standards. May function as a go-to person for a technology, software methodology, or other area of expertise.
• Collaborate with global product engineering team and perform software development activities during project execution.
• Performs technical reviews including architectural and detailed design reviews
• Train, develop and motivate colleagues on technical aspects demonstrating Right to Left thinking (starting with consideration for end user).
• CPD has business worth 1bn USD+ and is focused on offering customers the right set of smart, connected components to form a complete solution to meet their application needs. This division now includes approximately 8,000 in 20 facilities in four countries, working in three integrated businesses: Power Components, Industrial Control and Bussmann
• Independently leading RTOS firmware development while utilizing C, C++, C# that meet the requirements.
• Build management, change management, and configuration management tools like JIRA, Confluence, Bit Bucket and Bamboo
• Lead reviews of documents, designs, code, test cases and user documentation ensuring that best practices and efficient coding standards are adhered to.
• Ensure quality & on time delivery in accordance with the plan adhering to the standard practices used in agile/waterfall model.
• Independently able to deal with ambiguous scenarios, requirements inputs & create Proof of concept (POC).
• Suggest and develop re-usable components and looks for continuous improvement opportunities in Electrical products. Share knowledge within the team and demonstrate flexibility for working in parallel on multiple products.
• Builds relationships and interacts with peers to ensure assigned tasks are prioritized appropriately.
• Development will be primarily in C, C++, C#.
• Hands on experience for debugging & coding. Must have C++ (at least 5-6yrs). RTOS - Real time operating system - min 4 yrs.
• Proven experience with at least one microcontroller platform and at least one RTOS platform.
• Deal with device level communications including Industrial Ethernet protocols like Ethernet/IP, ModbusTCP, Profinet, BacnetIP,61850 and or device level field bus technologies -Modbus, DeviceNet, Profibus DP, BACNet.
• Leverage the latest software technologies and trends such as IoT, and Open Source.
• Detailed understanding of the Linux Toolkit s software architecture to fully participate in software development, technical reviews and maintenance efforts.
• Protocols:- BLE 4.2 should have exp.
• Experience in Board bring up / HAL, Boot Loader development.
• Micro controller selection, should be able to do a trade off and take decisions.
• Develop, document and review source code in a continuous integration environment.
• Fully participates in team efforts developing architectures, writing software, maintaining quality, implementing and maintaining processes and written technical specifications and Linux and product-specific configurations.

QualificationsRequirement:

• B.E. / M-Tech / ME in Computer Scienece / Information technology / Electronics & Telecommmunications
• 6+ Yrs of experience.
• Development will be primarily in C, C++, C#, (HTML, SQL, and Python).
• Hands on experience for debugging & coding. Must have C++ (at least 5-6yrs). RTOS - Real time operating system - min 4 yrs.
• Proven experience with at least one microcontroller platform and at least one RTOS platform
• Deal with device level IP communications including Industrial Ethernet protocols like Ethernet/IP, ModbusTCP, Profinet, BacnetIP,61850 and or device level field bus technologies -Modbus, DeviceNet, Profibus DP, BACNet.
