Youll be a key member of our engineering team, delivering new features and improvements in a fast-paced, agile environment using modern technologies, including React, TypeScript, GraphQL, zustand, and Immutable.js.A typical day in this role would provide opportunities to optimize applications for speed and scalability and resolve a variety of unique technical challenges. Strong collaboration skills with product, UX, and back-end engineers, along with the ability to execute quickly will enable your success.Passion for good component design and solid application architecture comes naturally to you, as does navigating the troubled seas of browser compatibility. You value clean code, principles over dogma, and making the world a little better every day.What You ll DoDevelop new UI features and improve existing codeProduce reusable and readable code and librariesWrite unit and integration tests to improve and maintain high code coverageWork with local and remote engineers on a regionally distributed teamShip and maintain your team s applicationsYour QualificationsMust-have:5+ years professional experience in front end engineering roles5+ years professional experience with Javascript3+ years professional experience using Git or another popular CVS2+ years professional experience with React and Redux, TypeScript, ECMAScriptExperience integrating the UI with data from service endpointsStrong verbal and written communication skills in EnglishUnderstanding of functional programming fundamentalsExperience doing and submitting to code reviewsExperience working cross-functionally, collaborating with designers and coordinating and product/program managersNice-to-have:Understanding of AWS fundamentals.Real world experience building scalable SaaS productsYou re very interested in learning new languages, platforms, and ideas.You thrive in a fast-paced environment focused on delivering production code at a regular cadence using Agile techniques, tools, and methodologies.What makes OpenGov unique Leadership: CEO Zac Bookman (MPA from Harvard and JD from Yale) is truly a mission-driven CEO.
