Job Description

Month end closure process Ensure balance sheet reconciliations are comple ted on a monthly basis to a high standard. Perform monthly review and identify key risks and opportunities. Ensure SOX controls are maintained, including f o rmal annual sign-off. Ensure adherence to Group accounting policies andrev ie w/update specific policies on timely basis. Work to support the SSC to ensurethey are compliant with all controls. Reporting Production of the Local Ma rk et month end in accordance to relevant SOX controls. Provision of value ad d i nsight regarding the reported and underlying performance of the Local Marke t be ing supported. Accountable for the delivery of any monthly reporting sui tes. Liaison with commercial accountants and the Business/Markets to relay in peri od & YTD financial performance. Review monthly results & feedinto the Local Market forecasting process. Relationship Management Establish strong w orking relationships with key stakeholders, own and proactively manage key rela tionshi ps with partners. Manage the day to day relationship withthe key sta keholder s. Ensure all SLAs of the SSC are adhered to. Benchmarking Integral to the preparation of actuals information for benchmarking activities. Pr omote con tinuous process improvement culture. Promote a continuous process i mprovement culture within the reporting and statutoryteam. Deliver to agreed project d eadlines including appropriate level of planning/integration. - Prepare Financial Statements Creating core Statutory Statements includin g the first draft of the required commentaries/Financial and Directors Report - Take lead role for coordinating theyear end audit - Support LOM on interim a nd y/e certification call/requirements - Ensure IFRS compliance - Building kn owledge of and staying up to date with - local statutory requirements - Support tax department queries - Support SOX process and control reviews - Sup port LOM regulatory requests for information - both reoccurring and ad hoc r eques ts in line with time constraints - Support Legal Dept. demand requireme nts. MS-Office, SAP, IT Systems. Tier 3 Accounting skills , Qualified Accountant CIMA, ACCA, ACA.
