Job Description

*Key Responsibilities for this position 1 Setting up the Global strategy, priorities and then working to kick start Digtalization, IoT and Manufacturing Automation projects at Emerson Isolation Valve BU. 2 Setting factory automations and IT best practices for the ISV manufacturing plants that are consistent with Emerson standards. 3 Implementation of Digtalization, IoT and Manufacturing Automation projects at Emerson Isolation Valve BU. 4 Must have a indepth knowledge of current and upcoming Industry digitalization and Factory Automation Best Practices. 5 Benchmarking our plants internally and externally against factory automations, smart factory concept and industry 4.0 standards. 6 Projects currently in discussion that this role would support include: bar coding, document management, supplier portal deployment, customer. certificate automatization, supply chain global tracking tools, quality management systems, MES implementations, ERP transitions, business intelligence visualizations, and data connections between ERP systems. 7 Creat the Global ISV Manufacturing Plant Automation Strategy & Prioritizing which projects at which plants get worked on first. 8 Creating project descriptions that get submitted to Emerson corporate IT teams for execution. 9 Working with the ISV Global plants to get necessary inputs and settings required to accurately scope and execute the factory automation projects. 10 Staying in contact with IT execution teams to make sure IT projects that are implemented effectively meet the plant needs. 11 Attend IT and Operations leadership meetings and report on the progress of IT initiatives in the plants. 12 Work with plants to make sure operations inputs required by IT are kept up to date and accurately entered (Ex. Lead-time inputs into a product configurator). 13 Helping & training the plants on the execution of smaller scale IT projects that the plants can execute on their own. 14 Persue industry benchmarrking & initiate the worldclass / best practices factory automations at Emerson ISV business unites. 15 Collaborate with Global plants and various stakeholders for project execution. , *Desired Educational Qualification Bachelor s degree in IT or Engineering required. MBA or IT Masters preferred. An IT leader with manufacturing experience or a manufacturing leader with significant experience working with IT systems could both be considered for this role. Min 10+ Years of total Experience in Digtalization, IoT, factory Automations, Smart Factory concept execution or Industry 4.0 execution. Min 5 to 8 Years of Hands on experience on implemnetion of Digtalization, IoT and Manufacturing Automation projects. 5+ years of IT experience in a manufacturing environment. Strong English language proficiency (both spoken & written). Excellent communicator. Experience working with ERP systems, preferably SAP & Oracle. Experience working on various IT projects & systems in manufacturing plants. Understanding of Industry 4.0 IT Technology and experience implementing new technology. Strategic thinker with experience setting priorities & IT vision. Project management skills required. Project management certification preferred. Self-motivated. Leader who can motivate others & drive projects.Technical Skills / Knowledge Required 1 Hands on experience on implemnetion of Digtalization, IoT, Manufacturing Automation project, Facctory Automations, Smart Factory concept execution or Industry 4.0 execution. 2 IT experience in a manufacturing environment. 3 Experience working with ERP systems, preferably SAP & Oracle. 4 Understanding of Industry 4.0 IT Technology and experience implementing new technology.
