Job Description

  • The Applications Development Senior Programmer Analyst is an intermediate level position responsible for participation in the establishment and implementation of new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to contribute to applications systems analysis and programming activities.
Responsibilities:
  • Design conceptual, logical & physical data models.
  • Develop SQL & PL/SQL modules such as packages, procedures, functions and other database objects
  • Design, develop and maintain data models for complex project
  • Take complete ownership of deliveries from database perspective
  • Engage and co-ordinate with stakeholders and perform dependency management
  • Perform performance optimizations on database functions
  • Lead a team of database developers
  • Highlight risks and work towards mitigation
  • Co-ordinate database functional releases in accordance to project requiements
Qualifications:
  • 9+ years in development role with experience on large & complex projects
  • Design/implement data objects using Data Warehousing methodologies including Oracle or similar relational database tools, SQL and PL/SQL and Unix development.
  • Identify re-usable database components and develop recommendations.
  • Very strong database design/development experience using Oracle 12C.
  • Solid troubleshooting skills with ability to engage Global DBA teams in addressing data issues.
  • Experience in Unix/Linux and Shell scripting.
  • Knowledge of Oracle Multiple RAC Nodes Implementation & Oracle Replication Software like GoldenGate, Streams etc.
  • Knowledge of Java/J2EE technologies will be added advantage.
  • Understanding of working in Agile Software Development (SCRUM) model
  • Should have root cause analysis skills, able to quickly analyse and interpret code and ensure that issues are resolved or escalated appropriately.
  • Expert in SQL & PL/SQL modules such as packages, procedures, functions and other database objects.
  • Experience on Database partitioning.
  • Expert in Database Performance Tuning.

  • BE/B. Tech degree
