This is a highly visible role working with some of our most successful sales teams, supporting prestigious enterprise clients and new logo accounts. Strong verbal communication skills to build customer confidence in the BMC partnership and products is required.Our Platinum Engineering division requires a Senior Product Developer who will work closely with our R&D, engineering, support, sales team, and our Enterprise customers.The role has two primary focus areas:

  • Ability to work at a very technical level working on customer problems, escalation, design approvals based on our best practice along with release planning and collaboration.
  • Working at a business value level, helping customer gain more from their investments with BMC
  • You must have a passion for providing consultative guidance to customers and troubleshooting challenging scenarios.
Primary Roles and Responsibilities:
  • You ll working as a Senior Product Developer at BMC, for TrueSight Capacity Optimization product line. The product covers a wide range of features for Capacity planning of Datacenters and Private/Hybrid Cloud Systems.
  • You ll help demonstrate business value of a dynamic portfolio to the largest enterprise customers around. Their role is to determine how we best satisfy our customers unique needs through creating awareness of our products.
Primary responsibilities for role: -
  • Provide technical assistance to our customers based on TrueSight Capacity Optimization portfolio when problems occur or when there is a requirement to drive additional value from the products deployed at a customer site.
  • Collect business and technical requirements from clients and map them to BMC required capabilities justifying the investment through the definition of an ad-hoc business case.
  • Build, customize and deliver technical presentations, explain how product capabilities address customer pains and deliver value within the identified scenarios.
  • Actively participate in activities to improve our customer experience of the portfolio.
Experience/ Qualifications:
  • 8+ years of experience in software development, support or consulting or presales software consulting organization.
  • Substantial experience working in an enterprise-type software consulting, implementation, support or training experience a major plus.
  • Experience in using Cloud Computing (e.g. AWS, Azure, Openstack), Hypervisors (e.g. VMware, Hyper-V, Xen, Databases / SQL.
  • Good knowledge of Unix/Linux OS
  • Full understanding of DevOps Concepts
  • Strong experience in engagements related to IT operations and Datacenter technologies
  • Ability to communicate technical and business information to a varied audience (technical and non-technical customers).
  • Ability to develop a broad awareness of the clients technical architecture and emerging technologies with enough knowledge to determine what is and is not possible.
  • Analyse customer needs and implement solutions through research and troubleshooting and recommending a solution.
  • Strong Collaborative spirit.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Travel is required, approximately 25% based on our customer requirements
  • Preferably holds a degree in computer science or engineering
