Job Details: Working directly with the companys chief technology officer (CTO), the Research Associate will be responsible for researching and developing new technologies and algorithms in the space of vibrations analytics, frequency spectrum analytics, data-driven technologies and pattern recognition / repeatability analytics for the organization, solving critical problems through data analytics, improving the algorithms in the software to solve customer problems, understanding customer needs technically and applying technical skills at customer end.In order to fulfill their role, the Research Associate will typically engage in the following tasks:product demonstration procedure;Identify areas for innovation within the scope of the product roadmap and business objectives and initiate research projects on multiple timelines that would have huge impact on end customers;Work with the CTO, the software development team and the technical team to project research ideas, research goals and research objectives so that the same can be further converted into actual features on the final product;Come up with new technologies and algorithms in the predictive analytics space and identify areas for improvement in the existing product;Come up with new technologies and algorithms in the FFT analytics and interpretation space for predictive maintenance, for a full-fledged recommendation system;Make technical software presentations to the technical teams at customer end and prove out the capabilities of the product at the customer where the customer R&D team is involved;Provide inputs for improvements in the sales and marketing strategy, customeracquisition strategy and customer activation strategy based on customer feedback and experience during new product implementation and deployment;Interact with manager and peers to discuss sales and marketing objectives, product and design challenges and identify solutions;Provide frequent progress reports, both casually and in written format;Document decisions, strategy implementation and outputs;Present methods and results to peers, management and customers as necessary.Required qualifications:We are looking for a smart, adaptable individual with a healthy mix of appliedengineering, frequency spectrum analytics and presentation / communication skills, and the following qualifications:Head of R & D in the field of Noise, Vibrations, with exp of research and development for a technical company;Previous experience working in a team and leadership skills to own and drive theProduct Research function with hands on research ability.Experience in setting targets for research & innovation milestones and achieving them;Solid base in engineering and mathematics with a strong analytic capability;A problem-solving attitude;Ability to communicate effectively and concisely, whether verbally, in writing, or through drawings, presentations and schematics;Knowledge of core engineering concepts;Ability to innovate, outdo expectations and persevere to benefit the team as a whole;Frequency spectrum analytics, predictive analytics, big data algorithms, vibration and acoustic analytics;Programming in Python / Java / MatlabKnowledge and experience in C / embedded C is an added bonus.
