* Description I. Responsibilities:Underthe direction of the Vice President, Electrics & Gears SBU, this position develops and implements marketing activities for the gearsproduct line to achieve internal and external sales, profitability and customerservice goals. S/he is also responsiblefor supporting the SBU three to five years overall business objectives anddevelop specific growth strategies for the product line. Responsibilities include: Performsin-depth market research studies of competitive environment within assignedproduct line segments. Usesmarket research results to develop objectives and priorities for portfoliooptimization and new product development Developsproduct definitions to guide the new product development process. Formulatesannual product plan designed to increase sales volume and profitability. Plansand implements creative marketing programs to promote sales and profitabilityof the assigned product line. Monitorsand analyzes market trends, project activity and prepares sales forecasts foruse in the planning of manufacturing operations and for controllinginventories. Developspricing strategy and guidelines for the assigned product line. Developsproduct promotion objectives and leads the development of the advertising,catalog and marketing promotion plans Conductsproduct training for sales representatives and distributors. Providestechnical assistance for sales representatives and distributors andsubsidiaries. Participatesin the product line S&OP field report process. Participatesactively in the Total Quality process including project team involvement,problem solving, and recommendation of solutions to enhance and improved qualityof department and/or company-wide business initiatives. Performsother duties as assigned. ,
