Job Summary: Position Summary Summary of major duties and general reporting structure in 2- 3 sentences. The Lead QA Engineer works with a team of testers, developers and documentation staff in the testing of the next generation of Dragon speech recognition products. The candidate will be a self- starter and will work on multiple deliverables with dynamic schedules. Principal Duties and Responsibilities List 6- 12 essential responsibilities/ duties of the position. Become the SME for owned domains as well as QA disciplines. Devise, document, and execute detailed test plans for all assigned projects. Conduct comprehensive testing on all software products and applications. Evaluate and test software programs to verify all assigned projects function according to internal and external user requirements. Ability to create and execute test scripts for both manual and automated. Write test documents including test plan, test cases and test summaries. Ability to document knowledge of product and processes. Perform hands- on QA including data quality/ integrity for new features and regression testing. Provide detailed report and analysis of all defects, risks, and issues identified during testing of all assigned projects. Work together with developers to resolve all identified defects, risks, and issues identified during testing of all assigned projects. Review support documentation for accuracy and usability. Conduct post- deployment review of all assigned projects. Prioritize workflow in accordance with departmental goals and initiatives. Assist in support for new and production releases. Prepare projects for end- user testing. Assist with troubleshooting production- level issues, behaviors, and potential problems/ defects. Participate in review of standards, procedures, tools, and processes. Perform tasks related to securing and keeping the products, tools, and processes that you are responsible for secure Knowledge, Skills and Qualifications: Number of Years of Work Experience: Required Skills: Confident, self- motivated and an independent thinker. Working experience with virtualization testing. Working experience with Automation testing. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook). Create and executing test plans with knowledge of technical requirements. Excellent communication skills (verbal and written). Proven analytical and problem- solving skills in an IT environment. Knowledge of end- user requirements and comprehensive test plan. Exceptional ability to quickly understand and work with application functionality and system technology (OS, APIs). Must work well independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team. Exceptional analytical, problem- solving, and decision- making abilities. Ability to multitask with proven tight deadline experience in a fast paced and dynamic environment. Strong analytical, multitasking, problem solving, and detail orientation skills. Strong knowledge of Test Management tools. Strong knowledge of JIRA, Confluence. General knowledge of server configurations. Bachelors degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience. Minimum 6 years of experience in System testing complex software applications including test automation, test planning, test case design, and test methodologies Must have strong Agile Experience.
