Job Description

Position summary:

This individual will join the IVR - Voice team in Enterprise RD. This team owns the testing of IVR - Voice products and components and is responsible to design and build manual and automated tests. The Sr. QA Engineer will be responsible to automate new tests, execute automated tests, perform automated regression testing and provide test results to the product team. The Sr. QA Engineer will build and execute tests for new features developed for the product. In this role, the Sr. QA Engineer will work closely with development and business teams to understand testing requirements, design test scenarios, write and execute manual and automated test cases. The Sr. QA Engineer will need to effectively coordinate with onshore team to achieve testing objectives.

Principal duties and responsibilities:

  • Software development towards building extending our testing infrastructure
  • Planning and preparing testing setup
  • Developing and running automated tests
  • Performing manual QA as needed to maintain Agile development pace
  • Part of Agile team consisting of DEV QA which is responsible for the upcoming releases
  • Actively participate in agile processes throughout the product development
  • Expand the QA capabilities, quality and efficiency
  • Perform tasks related to securing and keeping the products, tools, and processes that you are responsible for securing

Knowledge, skills and qualifications

Education: Bachelors in Computer Science or similar degree

Minimum years of work experience: Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Software Quality Assurance and Automation testing

Required skills:

  • Strong in core Java programming and Java logs troubleshooting
  • Python programming experience
  • Strong knowledge of Object Oriented programming
  • Strong in Web Automation using Selenium WebDriver
  • Experience of Backend/server side testing - API/Webservices testing knowledge, JSON or XML
  • Experience of Automation Framework Design and Development
  • Strong t esting concepts
  • Experience of Linux/Unix platform
  • Familiarity with SQL, hands on experience on setting up MySQL
  • Should have excellent communication skills
  • Ability to carry out coordination activities with Onsite DEV/QA teams
  • Knowledge of professional software engineering practices including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing
  • Ability to analyze and solve complex problems quickly and creatively
  • Out of the box thinking, ability to test applications with thorough test coverage
  • Have a strong technical background and ability to learn complex products and testing methodologies quickly as well as strong and detail- oriented troubleshooting skills
  • Committed Team player and positive attitude

Preferred skills:

  • Familiarity/experience with containerization technologies like Dockers, Kubernetes
  • Experience in CI/CD and automation through CI/CD pipeline
  • Perl programming experience
  • IVR/Telephony/Telecom/Voice Technology MRCP, VOIP, VXML, SIP
