Job Description

    DescriptionWe invite you to be part of motivated and agile Qualys engineering team responsible for developing high-end Cloud based Security Solutions. This opening is your chance to work in the rapidly expanding field of computer security, in a company with excellent customer ratings and outstanding growth rates. In this position you will be testing network security solutions for quality and performance, building utilities for manual as well as automated functionality testing to deliver cutting edge products. This position is for our fastest growing R&D centre in Pune, India, which is part of multi-continent engineering team.Responsibilities:
    • To be an individual tester with no need for any hand holding on a regular basis
    • Background study to accomplish a task and self-drive to resolve issues in the process
    • Document the test plans and test results as part of activities
    • Communicate with other team members and collaborate as required
    • Be part of a team and work for the progress of entire team to achieve common goals
    • Must be a self starter with ability to work interdependently with minimal supervision.
    Qualifications:
    • Degree in Computer Science/Electronics or equivalent
    • 2 to 5 years of experience in the field of testing in the areas of computer networking/network security/ Linux based Embedded systems
    • Should be well versed with any of the scripting languages like Python, Tcl, shell, Rest API
    • Understand requirements and develop test cases, automate test-cases
    • Possess Good debugging/troubleshooting skills in complex environment
    • Experience in network testing tools like one or more of Ixia/Spirent, tcpdump, wireshark, nmap
    • Working Knowledge of Linux firewalls like Iptables
    • Decent knowledge of basic Networking Protocols like ARP, DHCP, DNS, TCP and UDP is a must
    • Decent understanding of L2-L7 Network protocols, Virtual networks & possibly cloud infrastructure
    • Working knowledge with one or more of software repository tools (CVS/SVN/GIT/Bugzilla/Jira)
    • Should possess good communication skill
    Additional Skills that are good to have:
    • Exposure to Automation test frameworks
    • Understanding of XML, XSD, JSON, REST and SQL databases
    • Knowledge of Network infrastructure such as RADIUS, SNMP, HTTP server etc.
    • Some Experience on configuring Switches, Router as per test setup needs
    • Exposure to cloud infrastructure
    • Decent understanding of Linux system.
    • Knowledge of Network discovery tools such as nmap, wmi, fingerbank etc.
