Senior Software Quality EngineerPosting Location : Location IN-PunePosting date 1 day ago(9/22/2021 5:21 AM)Job ID 89590 Workday ID R-014367 Job summary The Red Hat Product and Technologies (PnT) Customer Experience and Operations (CXnO) team is looking for a Senior Software Quality Engineer to join us in Pune, India. In this role, you will help test and expand platforms for customer data privacy and security. You ll contribute value to Red Hats customers, partners, and community through the enhancement of both external and internal systems as part of an agile and globally distributed operations and development team. As a member of this team, you will get the opportunity to help us better serve our customers, partners, and community needs as well as gaining critical business and community skills. Primary job responsibilities

  • Test new features and ensure fast feedback for developers
  • Create and maintain testing artifacts
  • Write automated test scripts, analyze test results, and identify and file bugs accordingly
  • Test bugs and write bug reproducers
  • Write performance tests scripts
  • Identify the areas where data leaks can happen and work with the development team to mitigate them
  • Validate that data masking rules work, assist in creating new rules, and improve the existing ones
Required skills
  • Good knowledge of object-oriented programming concepts
  • Work experience writing code in at least one programming language like Python, Java, or JavaScript
  • Knowledge of HTTP communications and network protocols
  • Understanding of testing concepts, functional testing, API testing, regression testing etc.
  • Work experience with UI test automation and API test automation
  • Keen observation and attention to detail
  • Motivated with the ability to take direction and work well as part of a team
  • Interest in learning new technologies; problem-solving skills
  • Help team in analyzing and identifying data privacy issues
  • Knowledge of the data and information security domain
  • Familiarity with data protection, privacy, General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA)
  • Experience with data or information security or GDPR is a big plus
