Senior System Engineer Network Infrastructure

Job Description

tThe Sr. Network Engineer serves as an integral resource in Global infrastructure team, managing internal/external resources providing timely and efficient support to day-to-day IT operations. tResponsible to analyze and determine the company s needs and requirements, then translate them to technical requirements, monitor electronic transactions and alert when a problem arises, maintain documentation, communicate with clients and vendors. tResponsible for design, engineering, support, and process improvement of global network infrastructure solutions including but not limited LAN, WLAN, WAN and security operation of the infrastructure environment. tWork closely with outsourced service providers to escalate and resolve incidents as well as act as a liaison between the vendor, IT support teams and business users. tServe as level 3 support for network infrastructure including troubleshooting and issue resolution. tAdditional responsibilities will include risks assessments, budget forecasting, license management modeling.-General Responsibilities

• Direct teams on configuration, security, performance analysis, tuning as well as routine maintenance of global network infrastructure at multiple sites.
• Manage root cause analysis in problem resolution and preventative measure for global network infrastructure.
• Provide enterprise-level support for global technology initiatives, collaborating with project and support teams. Provide subject matter of expertise to other project teams as required.
• Design and develop a global standards/processes and documented procedures to maintain and administer global network infrastructure environment.
• Delivers accurate network solutions in accordance with business requirement and architectural standards, and within the time frames established in the project.
• Provide exceptional customer service, effectively communicating and managing customer expectations, develop and maintain strong business partnerships.
• Work with stakeholders and other technical teams to collect business and technical requirements and design /deliver enterprise level solutions.
• Design and implement Global ADVPN solution and manage sites infrastructure migration
• Resolve issues tiers of support have escalated by troubleshooting cloud and local infrastructure
• Create and update technical documentation of operating procedures as needed.
• Own and lead discussions in business and technical information technology solution implementations, upgrades, enhancement, and conversions. Recommends solutions as appropriate.
• Follow and apply configuration and security standards and policies within a defined Change Management process.
• Ensure that system improvements and changes are implemented correctly and completely and monitor all effects of the modifications.

Qualifications:

• Proven expertise in network infrastructure operations, maintaining, configuring and troubleshooting in LAN, WLAN, WAN and Security operational environment.
• Solid background in network administration and architecture
• Strong understanding of Routing, Switching Firewalling, DNS and Internet Proxy solution
• Proven experience in working with Teleco vendors in circuits specification and provisioning.
• Experience with network diagnostic, monitoring and analysis tools (e.g. SolarWinds, Netflow, Cisco Prime etc.)
• Highly analytical and able to develop effective solutions to efficiently resolve errors & issues
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple competing demands
• Perform in a fast-paced, high-energy environment; be able to work independently with all levels of employees within an organization, well organized and detail oriented, have good communication skills (written, verbal, presentation).

• Bachelor s Degree in computer science, Engineering or a related technical discipline
• 6 - 8 years applied experience with Cisco and Fortinet enterprise networking and security practice
• Professional certification (e.g. CCNP, CCDP) is highly desirable
