Job Description

We are looking for a Senior System Software Engineer for our Tegra Computer Vision Accelerator - Kernel Mode Driver Team with a good understanding of Computer Vision sub-systems and low-level Device driver programming skills.We are a leading artificial intelligence computing company and are defining the way with innovations in supercomputing and self-driving cars and autonomous machines. NVIDIA gives customers, developers, tier-1 suppliers, research institutions, and start-ups the power and flexibility to develop and deploy breakthrough artificial intelligence systems for self-driving vehicles, autonomous machines and embedded devices.What youll be doing:

  • Kernel design and development for Tegra architectures.
  • Architect, Design and Build System SW components for Computer Vision and Image Processing sub-systems for Tegra architecture.
  • Implement solutions to complex issues & defects involving interactions between components partitioned across the large software stack.
  • Kernel and User Mode Development across various embedded products/platforms.
  • Optimize the system components for various Vision Algorithms to efficiently run on NVIDIA TEGRA Hardware Accelerators and GPU.
  • Coordinate with several geographically dispersed teams for being responsible for the complex integration aspects of the software.
What we need to see:
  • BS/MS or equivalent experience in electrical engineering, computer science, or computer engineering and more.
  • 6 years of experience with Kernel & device driver development.
  • Solid understanding of computer architecture, operating system, KMD development on embedded systems.
  • Experience developing drivers on Linux, QNX, or other RTOS on 32/64-bit ARM SoC.
  • Strong Data structures and Algorithms know-how with Excellent C/C programming skills.
  • Hands on experience with Debugging Tools JTAG, DSTREAM.
  • Excellent analytical, communication and interpersonal skills
Ways to stand out from the crowd:
  • Experience in low level kernel sub-systems and device drivers on Linux, QNX.
  • Hands-on experience with safety analysis, such as SW-FMEA, SW-FTA, SW-DFA/coexistence analysis/freedom from interference.
  • Experience with ISO26262 Software Certification or ASPICE Safety Standard.
