With connections across more than 210 countries and territories, we are building a sustainable world that unlocks priceless possibilities for all.OverviewThe Digital Service Delivery team is looking for a candidate who can help us solve problems, plan, and design the footprint of our systems, and lead Mastercard in definition of standards and best practices.Infrastructure Design at Mastercard is a team of Technology Architects and Engineers responsible for the analysis and design of the infrastructure framework to fit the application, platform or system needs in-line with Mastercards operational standards and principles. Our team is engaged from the beginning of the analysis and design phase to work with the application teams and other critical teams within Mastercard to ensure the completed infrastructure and application architecture aligns with Mastercard s security, scalability, reliability, and availability standards. tAre you passionate about systems architecture, and ensuring the set of high-level requirements is consistent, complete, correct, and operationally defined tWould you like to build mission critical middleware infrastructure tDo you have a high degree of initiative and self-motivation and demonstrate the ability to drive results tAre you passionate about delivering quality Then we would love to hear from you!Major Accountabilities for this role: tResponsible for gathering requirements, conducting infrastructural analysis, and producing robust designs that adhere to approved Mastercard technologies, and ensuring the design meets all Mastercards technology and security policies. tResponsible for meeting with peers, engineers, application team(s) and user(s), to determine that all the high-level requirements have been met. tResponsible for generating products such as Technical Architecture Documents, technical memos, logical flows, and models to keep the users, architects, and the engineers constantly up to date and in agreement on the architecture and infrastructure layout of an application, system, or platform. tResponsible for ensuring that all architectural products and products with architectural input are maintained in the most current state and never allowed to become obsolete. tResponsible for implementing, managing, and supporting application infrastructure components while leveraging current standards and best practices. tIn charge of resolving internet architectural and operational problems impacting infrastructure & product availability and performance globally. tMay contribute to the definition of new standards. tMay contribute to researching and evaluating new technology for possible deployment in Mastercard s internet infrastructure. tMay contribute to ongoing regional projects as assigned; including responsibility for planning; time and cost control; resource utilization and implementation. tMay contribute to incident/problem diagnosis and root cause analysis. tMay provide input into performance tuning; capacity planning and configuration management for Mastercard components. tAssure system stability and future compatibility by monitoring production execution of all relevant systems.Experiences tGains exposure to systems architecture, new technologies, industry standards and best practices. tParticipates in global technology initiatives for system and platform architecture tGains exposure to business resource groups and global communities tDemonstrated initiative in building relationships with colleagues from multiple areas within Mastercard tExposure to internal resources and toolsEducation (preferred): Bachelor s Degree in Computer Sciences, or Information Systems, or equivalent experience. All About You tAdvanced knowledge of Web application architecture and project delivery. tIntermediate knowledge of how the Java Virtual Machine works, how Garbage collection works. tIntermediate knowledge of load balancers and web application firewalls tIntermediate knowledge of network and operating system principles tVast knowledge of middleware technologies (Web Servers, Application Servers, Queue Managers, Messaging, Caching) tWorking knowledge of Database technologies. tWorking knowledge of cloud technologies tSolid knowledge of techniques or methodologies to achieve non-functional requirements like reliability, availability, resilience, performance, security. tWorking knowledge of Role Based Access Control, Authentication and Authorization mechanisms. tProficient in root cause analysis and troubleshooting.Skills/Abilities: tDetailed oriented and customer obsessed. tStrong verbal and written communication skills tAbility to multi-task and prioritize efforts. tAbility to pick up new technologies at a quick pace and learn on-the-go tAbility to work with team members located in multiple geographies tDisplays excellent collaborative skills with cross-functional teams. tProvide positive customer service to internal business partners.Due to COVID-19, most of our employees are working from home.
