Job Description

As a Technology Architect, you will be responsible for:

  • Provide best-fit architectural solutions for one or more Products.
  • Provide technology consultation
  • Assist in defining scope and sizing of work
  • Implement the solutions
  • Create technology differentiation
  • Leverage partner technologies
  • Participate in competency development with the objective of ensuring best-fit and high-quality technical solutions and
  • Creating thought leadership within the area of technology specialization and in compliance with guidelines and Policies
  • The role requires a high level of Technology intelligence and Payments Expertise to investigate and analyze business activities to make them more efficient by using IT resources.
  • An understanding of customers needs in relation to the performance of the business and the provision of competitive commercial solutions.
  • Support finding solutions to functional problems/defects and prepare high level functional designs
We expect you to have: - Minimum 8 years of experience as a Java developer and 3-5 Years experience as an Architect.- Strong Payments Knowledge- Cash Management Knowledge will be an added advantage.-- Hand on Experience in Spring, Hibernate and JPA- SOAP and REST web-services- Java and Object Oriented Design & Development with recent experience in enterprise application architecture.- Java EE technologies (Servlets/JSP/XML processing/Web services)- Database technologies DB2 and Oracle (in that order of importance)- Proficient in open source stack TomEE, MySQL, active MQ- Working knowledge of MQs especially IBM MQ- Proficiency in frameworks, architecture and product lifecycle management.- Architectural patterns, Design Patterns, UML- Experience of working in an onshore-offshore model in a distributed team.- Experience on product development.- Experience from working with customers and being onsite, both involved in functional discussions as well as technical issue handling, and a commercial mind-set whenever needed.- Strong ability and willingness to be hands-on- Experience on measuring/enhancing the quality and efficiency will be a strong advantage.- Candidate should typically be able to perform overall architectural evaluation and refactoring, either on enterprise level, Product level or system level (components).- Furthermore, capable of discussions with key stakeholders like Solution Architect, Portfolio Management etc.- Should also have solid experience from developing and running mission critical high performing systems.- Can/should be capable of giving technical advice on architectural and technical aspects- Help out in sales support activities, both through RFI/RFP responses but also being out meeting customers in sales opportunities.- Very good problem solving and troubleshooting skills.- Domain Expertise.- Payments:- Payments Processing- Clearing & Settlement- EBA Rule Book Changes.- SWIFT, SEPA, TARGET2, RTGS & Instant / Real Time Payment- BACS, CHAPS, EQUENS, SIC, ESIC will be good to have- Cash Management - Customer, Accounting and Financial data management- Liquidity Management- Virtual Account Management- Cash/Notional Pooling (domestic/cross border)As a person, you are / Nice to have:- Team player- Product Mind-set- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills- Energetic and Proactive- Agile Mindset- Willing to learn Fast Learner- Passionate towards Product Engineering,
