Position Summary We are looking for creative enthusiastic UI Designer / Developer for a leading online shopping community. You will work to actively assist in the continuous improvement of the usability, usefulness, and desirability of applications in collaboration with the Development Teams and Project Manager. Conceptualizes and creates graphic user interface solutions for web sites and web application. The position will focus on user interface design. Candidates must be able to have a broad yet detailed understanding of web UI standards, usability, and have developed user interfaces for web applications. This position will have direct responsibility for developing the UI standards within the organization. Desired Candidate Profile: Experience in web design / development, with specific expertise with web-based applications Will be fluent in Web standards like HTML5, XHTML, CSS. Proficiency with Advanced Javascript development techniques, AJAX, Ruby on Rails / iPhone and Android Design Application will be a PLUS. Experience in Database development/ integration for UI Should be able to identify, appreciate, create and build beautiful designs. Must have a strong understanding of browser compatibility issues. Experience with Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator is a plus Superior interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate actively and proactively with others in a cross-functional team ,
