Job Description

Position Summary

Work with a multidisciplinary team to design applications for AGVs (Automated Guided Vehicles) and or mobile robotics related system application software, primarily focused on web applications designs, with a small amount of linux applications and device simulators. As an UX designer and member of an agile scrum team, you will make sure the team deeply understands the customers workflows and creates flawless user experiences.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Conducting user research to define users needs, wants and objectives within the AGV Domain
  • Using customer insights that come from analytics and customer interactions to help inform business and get design decisions
    • Identify design problems and provide elegant solutions Developing sketches, wireframes, user
  • Setting up and working with a design system
  • Working in a multidisciplinary team with developers and stakeholders
    • Documenting design behavior
  • Previous experience designing for AGV or Mobile Robotics based systems
    • Carry out additional duties as assigned
  • May require a multi - month trip to the Netherlands for training shortly after starting on the job. Additional trips to abroad may be required as per the project need

    • Ensure that the Safety policies and procedures are understood and adhered to so far as is reasonably practicable in order to ensure a safe working environment.

    Carry out work in accordance with the Company Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Systems.

    Perform the assigned tasks with due diligence regarding the Integrated Management Systems on the Company.

    Eliminate waste of whatever form, to suggest the use of more environmentally friendly substances and practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of the environment.

    Supervisory Responsibilities

    This position has NO direct supervisory responsibilities. Reports to Software Engineering Manager Qualifications
  • Minimum experience of 5 years with UX Design
  • A portfolio that gives a clear overview of past projects
  • Experience with design tools as Adobe XD, Sketch, Figma and Invision.
    • Experience with different research methods Experience in facilitating meetings and design workshops
  • You can substantiate your design choices with theoretical knowledge and user data
    • User focused mindset and attitude Experience with style guides Eye for detail
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English
    • DESIRED Experience with issue tracking systems, preferably Jira. Experience with Scrum
  • Experience with designing for different kind of devices
    • Experience with HTML and CSS. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics Gives and receives constructive feedback
  • Ensures that others involved in a project or effort are kept informed about developments and plans
  • Ensures that regular consistent communication takes place within area of responsibility
    • Self - motivated, confident and passionate
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills
  • Able to set priorities in a fast - paced, rapidly changing environment

    • This position is considered OFFICE WORK which is characterized as follows.

  • Almost exclusively indoors during the day and occasionally at night
  • Occasional exposure to airborne dust in the work place
    • Work surface is stable (flat)
