Would you like to manage our teams on the slopes The role has management , training and leadership rolled into it. The slope manager takes care of our trekkers , our trek leaders and the mountain staff at any slope. Though everyone reports to the slope manager , it is the slope manager s job to grow everyone. Slope managers are assigned a base camp to work out of. He / she is stationed at the base camp for the duration of the trekking season. At the end of the season the slope manager moves on to another slope of operation. For example , the slope manager may start work in Uttarakhand in May , move to Kashmir in July , returning to Himachal in September , move on to Sikkim in October. The work is 365 days and almost often 24 hours. It requires hard work with the willingness to get your hands dirty. No work is too big or small for the slope manager. At one time he may be briefing trekkers and within minutes he may be setting up a compost pit. Salary starts at 4.2 lakhs per annum. Food and stay is taken care of by Indiahikes. Slope managers save a considerable part of their income. What we require: Must have done at least two high altitude treks in the Himalayas. (Triund and Kheerganga do not count as trek experience). Must follow an active fitness regimen. BMI (Body Mass Index) must be between 18.5 and 23.9.,
