Job Description

In this role, you have the opportunity to design, develop and maintain Diagnostic X-ray (Radiography, Fluoro & Mammography) and realization of a range of products in such a way that future products options and features can be realized with acceptable effects for the earlier products. You are responsible for identifying appropriate technologies and to lead the design & development and architecturally responsible for the control system /software. The incumbent will be responsible for the system interfaces for various requirements for the functioning of the System hardware.You are responsible for

  • Technically and architecturally responsible for the X-Ray system control software, that controls the X-Ray Generator, Detector, Room IO, Table, Wall stand and Ceiling Suspension.
  • Analyzing and understanding the requirements.
  • Making architectural/design choices on the platform.
  • Accessing risk early, assist project manager with risk mitigation plan and drive risk measures in the design.
  • Performing hands-on Product development.
  • Reviewing work products and ensure the quality of deliverables.
  • Defining and direct best in class software development practices.
  • Understanding the clinical needs from a user perspective (in the context of how the product/feature is being used).
  • Continuously improving the quality of software deliverables.
  • Investigating critical defects & provide solutions, perform root cause analysis for continuous improvements.
  • Contributing and support the deployment of the technology roadmap.
  • Establishing a strong technical team and sustain it with the highest level of competency.
  • Hiring, coaching and mentoring other team members in the team.
You are a part ofDiagnostic X-Ray R&D team. Philips HIC, Pune is playing a key role in Philips global strategy for DXR. With Philips HIC, the foundation was laid to touch billions of lives and reiterate Philips commitment towards Indian and growth healthcare markets.To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
  • At least 10 years of experience in software development; the majority of which is in the area of control software, device communication protocols.
  • Excellent software architecture & design skills.
  • Strong Object Oriented development and design knowledge and experience.
  • In-depth experience in Windows-based software stack to interface with H/W, Real-time software development is a must. Device driver development experience is a Plus.
  • In-depth programming and debugging experience in C, C++, COM/DCOM using varied communication protocols (CAN, Ethernet, Bluetooth, RS232/RS485).
  • Work experience in systems used in healthcare is a plus.
  • Good understanding & experience in design patterns and practical application of same.
  • Experience in working in project teams, involving SW designers, SW engineers.
  • Firm decision maker and shall possess good influencing skills.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
  • Self-starter, quick learner, ability to work independently.
  • Proactive and self-driven possesses a due sense of urgency.
  • Ability to stay focused on the target in an ambiguous situation.
  • Openness to collaborate in the interest of project/organization.
  • Shall be very good technically; possess systems mindset and good problem-solving abilities.
