The Nuance EMR InterOp group is responsible for implementing a consistent interface to various Nunace product interacting with different EHRs .
As a Software Engineer on the Nuance EMR InterOps team, you will work with a team of developers, QA and documentation staff for the development and maintenance of Healthcare Applications/services & test frameworks. You will be a self- starter and work on multiple deliverables with dynamic schedules.
Principal duties and responsibilities :
Create functional, well- designed, well- tested, high- quality code for complex computer systems including for next- gen cloud based systems
Create API automation framework
Automating webservices/API test cases
Create High and Low level design for the assigned module(s) / functionality / automation need.
Independently resolve technical issues, perform task break down and estimation for self and assist juniors to perform the same.
Evaluate impact of software performance, and recommend changes to software design team.
Participate and assist in technical training and development of other staff members.
Assist quality assurance team by providing assistance to testers
Assist in identifying process improvements and application/platform enhancements.
Provide technical and product inputs while interpreting requirements effectively and collaborating with cross functional team members including internal Nuance teams
Effectively work with multiple development teams located in different geographical locations.
Write technical specifications for assigned application components or major features/versions including functional specifications and design specifications.
Perform tasks related to security compliance.
Education : Bachelors in computer science or related discipline.
Minimum years of work experience : 2 years.
Required skills :
2+ years of work experience in large scale software development
Experience with Automated webservices/API testing
Experience in developing/designing test framework at- least one cloud based multi- tenant products, preferably Azure
2+ years of programming/scripting experience using Java, JEE & Spring.
1+ years experience in SAAS development/testing
2+ years experience in building consuming and testing Web Services using Rest
Experience with Agile development methodology; preferably scrum
Strong analytical and problem solving skills required such as data modelling and analysis
Ability to work independently
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Participation in any innovation initiative as a key member
Preferred skills :
Secure Development Skills knowledge of security of production web applications
Experience developing Healthcare Information technology applications including HL7 and FHIR data standards
Experience with cloud technologies such as Datalake and deployment technologies such as Kubernetes and Docker.
Understanding of HIPAA compliance and securing patient health information.
Experience with Atlassian tools Jira and Confluence.
Experience in automated code quality tools like SonarQube
