ABOUT THE ROLE:
As a Software Development Engineer on the team, you will be responsible for helping craft the future of our converged television service working with our back end data infrastructure databases. The Converged Television Service provides marketers solutions for the emerging media landscape of broadcast TV, cable TV, over the top (OTT) streams and connected devices.
You will be working closely with people across engineering, product, and design to help develop an amazing experience for our agency brand customers. You will deal with large data sets from Nielsen, Inscape and related providers and utilize machine learning and probabilistic algorithms to build plans for marketers.
Skills/RequirementsWe are looking for software developers who are real problem solvers with a can pick-up and learn any product attitude. We use modern data storage systems (MongoDB, Elastic Search, MySQL) to warehouse analyze big data segments.
Proficiency in python including sql-alchemy, pandas, numpy, scikit, celery and ampq
Experience with large scale, concurrent applications is a plus.
Experience working with relational (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (schema design and query optimization).
Experience working with ETL pipelines and data warehousing.
Experience working with RESTful web services.
