NSCs service provider and dealer partners - as well as end-customers - trust NSC countless times a day to protect what matters most and to make their lives easierJob Summary:Experience: 3 -5 yearsQualification: B.Tech / B.ELocation: PuneThe Software QA Engineer will be responsible for test strategy and automation of Nortek Controls cloud, Recurring revenue platform and IoT device products. You will contribute to the test framework and automate the validation effort. You will work as part of a core team that would build best in class scalable cloud-based applications for NSC product family. As a strong team player, you will work with a high performing team doing state of the art development work in areas of home automation, security and control. You will work closely with Backend, Frontend and Product manager to translate the needs into a high-quality product.Primary Responsibilities:Create test plan and test casesVerify application for functionalityDevelop Test Automation for productsMaster the functionality of productWork with Scrum master and product owner in backlog groomingWork with Product managers to understand the product requirement & acceptance criteriaDevelop deep understanding of the architecture & implementation for the productDrive a culture of quality, technical curiosity, continuous improvement, and evidence-based decision making in the organization.Execute other Duties as assignedKnowledge Skills and Abilities:3+ years experience in QA testing experience of device software, cloud applications, webappsBE/ME in computer science or computer engineeringExperience with Javascript, Python, Shellscripts (or other scripting languages)Experience using testing frameworks such as Cucumber and PostmanExperience with J-MeterStrong working knowledge of Automation Frameworks such as Junit and SeleniumExperience in backend automation and CI/CD with JenkinsExperience debugging and capturing backend failures and Application issuesDemonstrated competence and self-motivation in analyzing problemsAbility to learn new test frameworks and test related environmentsNice to have:GitHub account with self-authored projects is a plusKnowledge of REST APIs is a plusCoding experience in Java is a plusGit or similar distributed SCM tools experienceExperience in Agile Methodologies and successful track record as a scrum master a big plus,
