Job Description

Within the sourcing category of their responsibility1Developing and leading Equipment sourcing campaigns in India Mideast as well as supporting global sourcing campaigns as required2Execute source process by developing negotiating implementing and sustaining supply contracts consistent with businessproject requirements3Execute the sourcing work process in accordance with the Company approved work processes including SAP purchase order processing and contract management 4Monitor communicate and respond to changing market conditions and business drivers on a local and global basis to maximize leverage and minimize risk5Lead crossfunctional teams involved in cost discovery supplier discovery and development work to meet project and business needs to strengthen competitive advantage for the corporation6Work closely with supported businesses and functional organizations to ensure stability and cost effectiveness ofsupply7Bring innovative supplier solutions to maximize value propositionacross the supply chain8Manage supplier performance and maintain interface within supplier8217s organization9Develop and execute purchased equipment10Lead contract management activities including claims management and vendor issue resolution 11Collaborates effectively with other members of their global sourcing team12Coordination with local statutory authorities like Port Customs as and when required13Assist the India Sourcing Regional Manager 8211 New Plant Assets in the development and maintenance of necessary tools for functional excellence14Assist the India Sourcing Regional Manager 8211 New Plant Assets in the development and maintenance of key work processes and standards15Ensure strategic execution sourcing excellence across their organization to meet business requirements and objectives16Drive the organization to pursue innovative supplier solutions that maximize the value proposition across the supply chain17Define critical skills and provide necessary training for the Specialty Fabricated Equipment Sourcing Team18Interface at senior management levels within the supplier8217s organization to represent Company8217 interests19Raise the visibility and contributions of strategic sourcing execution team across CompanyQualifications Bachelor8217s Degree or higher in Engineering with preferably Business ManagementExperienceAt least 1215 years of procurementstrategic Equipment sourcing experience preferably minimum 8years in sourcing of capital equipment8217s in anIndustrial Gas CompanyPreferable with working experience in Engineering Procurement and Construction EPC Industrial Gases or Petrochemicals Chemicalsor Oil Gas Industries Worked with a multinational company in a matrix set up will be an advantageDetailed knowledge of commercial purchasing procedures and practices including aspects of negotiation contract law and claims management Familiar with operating within SAP environmentSkillsStrong leadership negotiation and influencing skills SelfstarterExcellent business communication and interpersonal skillsStrong project management and planning skillsTeam playerHigh ethical conductKnowledge of strategic sourcing and procurement work processes
