Job Description

We are looking forward to a Specialist Enterprise Architect in Eaton s Information Technology Centre, basedin Pune, India. Your essential responsibilities include:

  • Utilize inputs from functions, operations and external sources to formulate and plan for next-generation architecture recommendations
  • Drive architecture practice, ensure technical alignment and facilitate technical solution delivery.
  • Be accountable for maintaining high levels of solution performance, availability and capacity, demonstrating a commitment to quality.
  • Work within Eatons IT Organization to successfully influence the direction of key technical elements of the solution environment.
  • Facilitate and coordinate the federated architecture practice
  • Provide input to strategic architecture directions and investments for key technology areas
  • Lead and drive cross-COE development of architecture policies and standards utilizing best practices and tools.
  • Serve as coaches and mentors providing architectural leadership, guidance, and support for the broader architecture community
  • Evangelize and teach desired architectural behaviors to all groups IT-wide to ensure broader use of architecture tools and techniques.
  • Ensure projects and programs conform to guiding principles and defined guardrails and standards
  • Vet changes to technology roadmaps
  • Participate in Architecture governance and collaboration bodies such as the Strategic Architecture Forum and the Technical Design Authority
  • Investigate technology areas in anticipation of need
  • Assist in guidance of technology assessment & selection
  • Assist in the creation and enhancement of methods and practices for architecture strategy development, communication, and visualization
Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree from an accredited institution
  • 8 to 12 years IT experience or a graduate of Eatons Leadership Development Program
  • Expertise in a particular IT Domain with design experience and some architectural experience
  • Expertise designing, developing, optimizing and maintaining large applications
  • Excellent proficiency with the English language (written and verbal). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
